Just steps from Glen Waverley station, O’Town is one of Melbourne’s favourite spots to enjoy a homestyle Malaysian meal. Whether it’s a hot, soothing soup, a creamy curry or some tasty stir-fried noodles you’re after, O’Town is certain to have something that’s exactly what you’re after. The restaurant is sophisticated yet casual, the perfect place to convene with your friends or relative for an enticing Malaysian lunch or dinner. Enjoy classic dishes such as curry fish head noodles, fish ball hor fun soup, or the unique penang chee cheong fun (traditional rice noodle rolls served with shrimp paste, chilli sauce and sweet sauce). Vegetarian? You’ll love the satay fried tofu, vegetarian curry mutton nasi lemak, or the tasty vegetarian mee goreng. Stop by O’Town on Railway Parade for a feast to remember!
Our group ordered the Penang mee and the fish kepok. Both were below par. We were lucky to be served the popiah which is seldom available. Now we know why as it was only just OK.
This our new found place for weekend after kids activities, which suit our timing and location. We liike the food and services. Just the place can be abit cramp and make it more noisy. Which will be tricky for a family catch up time. Might consider outdoor table in future.
Reasonable price for the food. We ordered fish head curry which came in a large bowl. Enough to feed 4 people. The fried octopus is crispy and tender too.
