Service was slow and main meal was dry and this is probably because it was the last of the pot.
We've been to Roley's many times over 8-9 years. This time, dinner for 6. It wasn't crowded, but the first round of drinks (6 cocktails) were very slow, 15-20 minutes. I had two bourbon Old Fashioned's over the night - got two completely different drinks. Margarita had no lime juice or salt rim, Long Island Iced Tea was mainly coke. Several items not on the menu, and it's become a pretty limited dinner menu (one steak option?). Entrees ok, but the Tasting plate is pretty much out of a bottle, Arancini flavourless and gluey. Loaded potatoes were good, as was the bread, and damper. Mains - first 4 came out, then 2 steaks after another 5 minutes. Super Green salad was genuinely good and interesting. But creamy mash wasn't creamy (needed sieving, and more butter), skin-on chicken wasn't skin on, vegetable curry with ONE pappadum (can you spare it?), and kinda bland. Pork belly soft, roasted pumpkin hard. Maybe the burgers on the lunch menu will be ok - line-ball if we ever go back for dinner, which is sad for us because good options are hard to find in this part of the world.
New management and a fresher new approach to the old Roleys. Good luck.
