Great family Italian cooking everything was just so good and unbelievable value. A little known gem with friendly staff, easy Saturday night parking and only wished we could have indulged in a dessert but prior arrangements left us short on time but we'll be back.

A real gem. Very friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, top service. Food was very nice. The mushroom pasta had a little too much truffle oil, which made it very heavy. The baked snapper was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Will definitely go back and will certainly recommend the place to our friends. A must visit

Love the Royal Standard Hotel! Some of the best food in Melbourne. Simple, homemade, traditional, delicious. Favourites are - Chilli Mussels (the sauce :o), focaccia, polenta chips for entree - Paglia e Fieno with homemade gnocchi, Pescatore pasta or meatballs for main.

Father's Day, 1st Grandpa's day, pram and family. Lucy is such an amazing front of house, she endured everyone is happy and relaxed.

Went with 3 girlfriends who have never been there before and they can't wait to return. They loved the decor, food and service, very Mediterranean influenced. The seafood pizza is divine.

it was Mother's Day, the busiest day of the year and this place kept on keeping on. Of course the wait was longer than normal but customer service was brilliant as was the food. Each time I go, I'm in a dilemma for days beforehand trying to decide what to order - I know the menu well!

Great venue, a tad old fashioned but super flavoursome Italian food. The aroma of garlic cooking in the kitchen is so reminiscent of the 70/80’s. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Large work team lunch. Placed pre orders in the morning. Paid individually while ordering drinks on arrival. Meals arrived quickly. Tasty good quality & very good value meals. Everyone was very happy. We will return again. Thank you.

Food and service is always great, have eaten here multiple times in the last 12 months.. Lucy and her team are attentive and always make sure you have what you need.. Had the barramundi fillet and it was delicious.

Food was good as always, however they brought me a glass of red wine instead of white (I drank it anyway without complaint) and I think the size of the parma was smaller than last time, but still tasted great.

What a gem. Food fabulous, service friendly and variety is huge. I felt as if I was sitting in a Trattoria in Europe. Wine is reasonably priced, all in all, I can't wait to return.

Fantastic place for dinner! We went here before seeing a show at Festival Hall - the walk to the show was definitely needed after our amazingly huge portions. Very reasonably priced, and a lovely family atmosphere. Service was excellent from bar to table. Definitely recommend

Very much miss the former funky bush/blues pub, but at the same time do appreciate its new genuine Italian 'family' energy. Great reasonably priced food. The very best gnocchi I have had anywhere ever!
