Royal Thai

The service was slow even thought the restaurant was not full. The two of us were told by a staff that is was a busy night and she apologised. We ordered an appetiser and two mains and asked that they all be served together as we would like to share all three. However the appetiser came first and long after it was finished, one of the mains was eventually served. When it was almost half finished, the other mains appeared. The food was very average. One of the mains we ordered was the fried fish fillet. We were served small pieces (not very many) of fish with a thick coating of batter in a plate with lots of vegetables.

Best Thai food in town. Excellent variety of food and wine to choose from. Beautifully prepared - fresh crisp vegetables and fantastic friendly service. Will come again

Service was a bit hesitant. Food was colourful, tasty and enjoyable, but could have been a little hotter when served. Decor is fresh and tasteful.

Best Thai food I think I have tasted. The Drunken Duck was awesome. The service was excellent. We will definitely be going back soon :-)

We took some overseas friends to dinner here and they were very impressed. Great food, friendly and experienced staff, elegant decor. Will certainly go again.

Great food and exceptional service. Large menu choice with multiple items that I could have ordered. I'll go back and try some of the other things on the menu. Meal was a generous portion with a delicate flavor and not heavy. I left the table with a satisfied feeling, but not stuffed.

Lovely place to eat in the Eastern suburbs, staff very helpful and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! Good selection of Australian wines too! The restaurant was full and there was a stream of people coming in ordering take-away! Went to Royal Thai a few weeks ago to celebrate a birthday, staff were amazing in putting the Birthday cake in their big fridge and bringing it out at the appropriate time, with candles and sparkles! Lots of fun! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was delicious and great service. Regular water refills, attentive and friendly staff. Shared 3 curries and all very tasty - Massaman, Duck and Seafood - not as spacey as the menu suggested but lots of flavour. Good atmosphere - first time there and will go back again.

Although the waiting staff were very courteous and helpful, the meal was expensive and disappointing. I ordered a Thai salad with prawns and chicken which was very small with only two prawns and a spoonful of chicken. The dessert was extremely small with a tiny amount of icecream. I will not be returning!

A very pleasant and enjoyable experience once again, food great and wonderful flavours. Lovely staff with friendly smiles and efficient service. Look forward to heading back there again.

Excellent food & excellent service. One of the best Thai restaurants in town. The menu is very detailed and the options are many and varied. The wine list is very complete too.

Excellent service, friendly and timely...and food to match. The restaurant is spacious in its layout, has comfortable seating and is clean with interesting cultural artifacts to engage with.
