Thai food in Perth can be pretty spectacular at times – the city is about as close to South East Asia as it is to the rest of Australia, in fairness – and there can be few places as good as S & T Thai Gourmet Cafe in providing it to the public. They get that balance of flavours – sweet, sour, spice and salt – just right, and they then apply the techniques to the freshest and most seasonal ingredients available. If you make the trip out to S & T Thai Gourmet Cafe on William Street in Northbridge – just a short trip away from nib stadium, Perth Arena and Perth central train station – you’ll be met with a menu replete with classics of the Thai canon, from Tom Yum soup and spring rolls to start, through curries red, green and jungle and onto stir-fried favourites like pad thai and basil fried rice. There are regional and house specialities too: we’d recommend the Tom Zab with pork soft bones, a delicacy from the north east of Thailand. Book a table and head over for a great feed in Perth.
S&T is one of my go to places in Perth for Thai food. They have an extensive menu and I can’t go past their bbq chicken, spicy soup with soft pork bones and crispy oyster pancake. Yum!
The most authentic Thai we have found in Perth and a very extensive menu. We have tried noodle dishes, fried rice, and curries. All very good. Our favorite is the red curry with duck (Gang Ped Yang).
Haven’t been here for 18 mths, but it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful food, very generous portions, with great service. Prices are also very reasonable. It is also BYO !!
