Sala Thai Restaurant - Fremantle

Have been to Sala Thai before but took overseas visitors and we had a lovely evening - food was fabulous as always.

Great location, close to parking and just a few minutes walk from the Fremantle strip.The service was prompt and accurate. The staff that served the food and cleared the table were so lovely and polite. However;food is just average, and flavours are not what you would expect for authentic Thai food.

Food was fantastic. Very enjoyable overall experience for the second time.

The staff are amazing - we have been dining at the Sala Thai for the past 25 years.

Unfortunately our old favourite Thai restuarant in Fremantle seems to have gone down hill. The food was very average , we had the Pad Thai and a Red Chicken curry and both felt like we wouldnt be returning in a hurry.

As usual, a fabulous place to dine 🙌🏻 Have been coming to Sala Thai for the best part of thirty plus years and will continue to do so. Missed Peter and Dickson tonight but time has come to take a break. Well done to you both.

Was a nice meal. Only real complaint is that had a chicken curry and the chicken was in big chunks and was dry. the other disk squid was nice

It’s been years, but is still a welcoming place to share great food with friends who were first time diners. Will definitely be back.

We were surprised that the waitress didn't change out our entree cutlery for main course. One of the meals had a strange taste like something had been burned. The other meal was delicious though. Bloke at the front desk hit us up for a tip too!

Wonderful place, the whole tamarind fried fish in particular is amazing.

Food was great as usual but service was really lacking this time. Food came out very staggered so some had finished meals before others got theirs. Some food didn’t come out at all so had to order again. Only 1 pot of rice for the 15 people came out, had to keep asking for more. Just not the usual standard we expect from this much loved venue. 😔

Booked in for a table of 8 for a birthday celebration. Long wait for service. No smiles from any of the staff. Food portions were relatively small for the prices charged. Average Thai food at best. When we expressed our disappointment at time of payment, they wryly smiled and made no comment. Would not go back!

I am attracted to tamarind sauce fried fish. This time was excellent if you ignore very little coriander garnish. I was to preoccupied eating to ask for more. Still great.

Definitely the "go-to" place for Thai! Fresh ingredients, consistent, great food.

Lovely food. The service from staff was exceptional. Awkward moment at the end when paying and asked if I would like to pay a tip. The meal was not cheap, however I don't mind paying for great food at all. To be asked for an extra tip made me feel uncomfortable. I would go back though, it's a great place
