Great local Italian with top notch pizza and anti pasta

Last night we had great service and delicious food with their new menu!

Great pizza's albeit a little overpriced. Waitress was absolutely lovely. Had 82 year old mother so stairs a bit hard.

Dough is like sourdough taste, dense. Toppings are fine. Not sure if that is the way the doughs are in Santoni

Phoned before booking to check if their buffalo mozzarella was 100% buffalo (I have a dairy allergy and can’t have any cows milk) and was told yes it was 100%. Arrived on day and double checked with waitress; only to be told it’s a mix of buffalo and cows milk. It was my birthday dinner and I would have never booked given I couldn’t eat any of the pizzas. Wait staff on night were slow and food was not great, overall very disappointing and definitely don’t be going back.

Food was excellent. Service was OK - friendly but a little disorganised.

The rooftop area is fabulous on a sunny day. The food was also really good and the staff were lovely. Only complaint is management insistence on “no split bills”! Many and most eating establishments I’ve been to in Hawthorn large and small, have no problem with splitting bills. Nobody carries much cash these days, so when a group of friends go out for a meal together, it is such a huge inconvenience to us customer if the group members can’t each pay by credit card. I really think this policy should be changed. May not consider Santoni with a group of friends in future choices because of it.

Beautiful atmosphere on the rooftop, the staff were very attentive and friendly. The pizza was beautiful however the popcorn chicken was moreso crumbs rather than pieces so half of the serving was wasted so it was a waste of $15 other than that we loved our experience.

Santoni is definitely one of my go-to places! Probably my favorite pizza in Melbourne (definitely try the Proscuitto pizza!). Venue and atmosphere second to none.

Great service, rooftop great for groups on a summer night

Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff who were very attentive and everyone else's food looked great. Unfortunately our order was forgotten to be placed for about 20 mins and normally I wouldn't say anything but it also happened with a different waiter at the table behind. Also I wasn't a fan of the salmon brushetta as there was very little salmon... It was more like rocket on bread. If we come back, we would order everything differently, so nothing wowed us, especially for the price.

Great authentic pizza with the wood fired crusty favour. The service is prompt and friendly. We went for a family lunch and paid $120 for four people.

Amazing food and cocktails! Being a busy night though we had asked for the drinks menu and the waiter never brought it, so we just paid for the bill and went somewhere else but l will defiantly be back!
