As a Sydney-sider who only had 5 meals to spare in Melbourne, this place was absolutely worth the visit. The paella is amazing value and delightfully delicious. It satisfied all five senses. Would recommend !

Very disappointing at the Bourke St venue as the award winning paella did not have a burnt / crusty bottom ( which the Sth Melbourne Market location always manages) When l complained to staff - l was told that it takes a longer cook time to achieve that !!!! Ridiculous excuse- as we had not indicated we were in any hurry at all Why didnt they just prepare it correctly in the 1st place We wont be back

It was disappointing that we were made to pay for a meal that was unable to be eaten due to Religious reasons. Unfortunately, it was not made known to us that the meal contained pork products. Added to that, we were rushed out of the restaurant before we had completely finished our meal.

Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the tapas. We ordered 3 paellas. They came out more like risotto. Unfortunately there was no soccarrada developed on any of them. Taste was okay, not special. I probably wouldn't bother going back.

Vegetarian paella had a waiting time of 25 min at lunchtime. The grilled vegetables were cold and tasteless. Not a place for vegetarians.

The Spanish Lunch deal was not only great value for money, it was really yummy as well! The restaurant was really lively and busy, and unfortunately that meant the noise levels were on the high side. You had to speak loudly to have a conversation!

Service was very good. Food was tasty but very disappointed that the paella had no evidence of socarrat at all. When we expressed our disappointment we were told that some people complain about it. Sorry but genuine paella has socarrat. We attended after seeing one of the owners on Masterchef Australia and the focus was on the socarrat. Disappointing given that this was the focus of the Masterchef challenge.

Lovely lunch. Will be back for sure. Only improvement would be my paella didn’t have as much chicken/seafood as I would like. My friend’s serving had heap so it was just mine I think! Otherwise awesome.
