Delicious food and drink, priced at cafe levels, nice, relaxing environment to hang out with friends, chill or work. The only problem is just that there are annoying flies flying around

Food was decent, would like more vegetarian/vegan options on the menu.

Varied menu. It was Father’s Day and they were under the pump so service was a bit slow. Food was good!

Menu on line is nothing what is offered at restaurant. We booked because of the GF options and they only offered one choice - a GF burger. Very disappointed in menu

Food and service was excellent. Waiter gave us details on the banquet as per chef's suggestion, the banquet was more than enough to feed us all. Would visit again.

Very quick, food was tasty. Restaurant lacked atmosphere as there was no one there at 7.30pm on a Saturday night. Ran out of sparkling wine and didn’t have any raspberry drinks or apple juice for the kids.

Although we ordered an entree, it did not come out while we were having cocktails but with the main meal. Defeats the purpose of an entree! Had to re-request wine even though we mentioned when ordering meal that we would like some. Just lacked knowledgable staff and chef (cook). Rib eye steak was very grizzly (possibly porterhouse) rather than rib eye!

The staff were welcoming, courteous, very friendly and professional. We had a party of 5 people who all ordered different meals, the food was delicious and enjoyed by all. We would definitely dine at South Society again, can highly recommend.

Mushroom sauce with the steak was fantastic, was not overly impressed with the fries, they were lacking the seasoning that was supposed to be on them and aoli was too watery. Great coffee, good service very polite and friendly.

Shocking. Empty restaurant when we got there at 7pm for dinner. That should have prompted us to leave. Clearly must have changed hands. Last time we went it was a vibrant, bustling cafe. Today there was more staff than diners and it was still slow, disinterested service. Like more than ten mins for a glass of wine to arrive because staff needed to chat. The menu was different to what we had read online. It was now akin to a pub menu (Parma, steak, pasta) when previously it had been full of creative tapas style share plates. Food was mediocre when it came out. My friend reports she had ‘the worse chicken Parma she has ever had’. If you still decide to eat hear after reading this review (don’t do it!), make sure you double check the bill because there was differences in price between the menu and the prices on bill. Also the restaurant was dead, we clearly were unimpressed with the experience and they still declined to split the bill for us. Really sad to see such a dichotomous change to an old favourite. At least the current manager won’t last long so it will be interesting to see what happens to the restaurant next

Food was delish! The salmon was perfect and the salad that came with it was really tasty! Will go back again - the service was excellent!

Had a dinner with a group of 9 p, however the servicewas quite poor with dirty plates put out and dirty wine glasses too. A main meal was missed when ordered and no apology or explanation or compensation was offered either. Main meals were average with things like the pork belly burger not having any Nahm Jihm sauce and the gnocchi quite flavourless. Other meals were great. The mushroom parpadelle and our grazing plates. Venue that I have eaten at before but will probably look for alternatives In the future.

We all enjoyed our meals, found the staff to be helpful and friendly. No problem with parking. The prices were reasonable for what you got.

The entrees were lovely. The staff were friendly but knew nothing of the wine list, and the wine offered was not the one on the menu. And they had run out if lemon squash!!

We all ordered the special and it was beautifully presented and tasted great - no-one left anything on their plate! They also accommodated our gluten-free guest and another guest who has an intolerance to garlic.

Good clean modern atmosphere, not a lot of variety, but what we had and the service was great, will try chefs sampler next visit there

we told the staff 3 times about allergies and they still gave us what we were allergic to and when they gave us our food they all seemed to disapear even though there were only 3 couples in the restaurant

Very loud environment which probably cannot be helped. A bit expensive for a cafe-style eatery, but the food and service was very good. Good pre-movie dinner.

The menu sounded great but didn't meet expectations. Food was good but not great. Service was below average, and although staff were friendly the service was slow. We were given our main meal before entree!

Front and back of house incompetent. Kids meal wrong required to be cancelled as two attempts failed. Waitress was mediocre. Lacked knowledge of menu. Food tasted good though

Very nice food. Friendly service but it was a bit disorganised. Orders were muddled up and our bill was wrong. The overall experience was good though.

We had the 'feed me' option. It was amazing! A lot of food but great to sample the most popular dishes. And desert was great too

Had the Feed Me! Could not fault the food or the service. The food was well paced and the waitress asked if we would like the kitchen to start mains or have a breather. We sat for ages after the meal and talked and did not feel like we were being rushed off. Excellent!

Food was good and staff were friendly and helpful. The menu was interesting with a wide range to choice from. We tried the polenta bites which were very tasty.

The food was delicious, staff very helpful and it was less noisy than it can often be at lunch time, so this was a blessing to our group. Always worth going to, as the food is varied and different, great flavours.

This was my first time at your restaurant. It took too long to get our drinks. The place wasn't crowded at all.The barmaid's knowledge of the cocktails was poor. The food was acceptable. My wife has had a very good experience at breakfast a few days ago. Atmosphere was good. Some light music would have enhanced the evening
