Spice of Himalaya

As the very first Nepalese restaurant in Darwin city centre, Spice of Himalaya offers some of the most authentic flavours south of the equator. Time-tested Nepalese recipes are made even better with local, often organic produce from the farms of Darwin, meaning each dish is bursting with honest goodness. Our favourites include, but are certainly not limited to, the paneer Himalaya oak chilli entree and the boneless lamb bheda ra plungo blended with fresh spinach and a homemade, creamy sauce. The Nepalese also love their thali, so if you think you’re up to it, why not try a thali set? You’ll be served with handmade bread and a traditional mix of vegetables, lentils, cheeses and meats. Vegetarian sets are also available, so there’s really no excuse. Located on the bustling Mitchell Street, Spice of Himalaya is well known, so it’s wise to book ahead.
