The point of any good Indian restaurant in Melbourne is to satisfy spice lovers craving for exceptional South Asian cuisine, allow newbies to get to grips with the exciting world of Indian food, and to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere in which to enjoy it all. Getting straight to it, if you’re over in Elwood, Tandoori Point’s the place you want to make a beeline for. This restaurant up on Tennyson Street is packed with possibilities such as house specialties like murgh tikka masala and the machli masaledar, plus a whole host of other dishes, many of which are cooked in the traditional clay oven that gives the restaurant its name. Hop off the train at either Elsternwick or Ripponlea stations and you’re only an onion bhaji’s throw away from Indian cuisine nirvana.

Delicious and authentic, dinner at Tandoori Point didn’t fail to deliver. The standards (samosa, butter chicken, Rohan josh, dumplings) with something new (rockling from the tandoor), overall a memorable meal. The service was 5 Star, genuine and generous. We’ll be back soon!
