Thai cuisine is always a fail-safe favourite and Thai Chiang Rai is the place to go for some of the most authentic that Canberra has to offer, with two restaurants in the city – one in Belconnen and the other in Phillip. You’ll find the Phillip branch located inside the Southern Cross Club on Corinna Street, and its stylish interiors make it the perfect place for a special meal. From red and green curry to roast duck and tom yum soup, the menu features all of the old favourites, as well as some lesser-known dishes. We recommend the pla tod (flathead fillets, beer-battered, fried and topped with homemade chilli, garlic and ginger sauce with coriander and shallots). Book a table in advance to avoid missing out!
Had a very enjoyable evening at Thai Chang Rai Woden last night catching up with an old friend from interstate. Food was great & the ambiance of the venue was lovely.
Very friendly and accommodating. We had a small group. The food was excellent-a good range and delicious. Would highly recommend it for a quite and relaxed dinner.
Great food excellent service fantastic night. Can highly recommend the fish cakes, coconut prawns and the scallop and macadamia stir fry. Can't wait to return for another meal.
