The Duke’s deed and title are well-deserved.This classic Aussie pub has stood on the corner of Barrack and Macquarie Street in central Hobart since 1846, and has managed to retain its old school charm to this day, even though it’s now a bar and restaurant with modern trappings enough to make it a popular CBD destination for fine pub food and drink. The Duke’s lunch and dinner menus are full of solid proclamations on state of the art eating, from burgers and pizzas to some stelar modern Australian mains. With live music on the schedule and a great space for hosting private functions, The Duke is the holistic Hobart pub you’ve been looking for. Amazing blues club venue. Staff friendly and attentive love it
We're visiting Hobart and have been here 3 times. The food is great and the ambience relaxed. Quiz night on Wednesday nights is a lot of fun. Highly recommend a visit, make sure you book a table!
