The Food Republic Cafe

Love the food, but servings are too large. Dislike their background music, as I struggle to hear. I think the cash register is in a dreadful position, near the door. Otherwise, a great restaurant.

The food was amazing and very quick service even on busy Father's day. They also were able to accommodate us by moving us inside at a couple of days notice. Very professional and food delicious

The new rhubarb and apple pancakes were divine. Dad loved the eggs benny and the drinks were great. Service was prompt and friendly

We had a fabulous visit . We had a wonderful space for our party of 10. Our waiter Matt was the best. So patient and great knowledge of the menu. He was brilliant. Everyone was very impressed with the venue, menu and attentive staff. We will be back for sure.

Thoroughly enjoyed a beautifully presented meal. It's a nicer place than a lot of the other cafes available around Blackburn making it a standout for somewhere a little nice than the norm.

Cold wet day but cosy inside. Had great lunch and devine desert - death by chocolate. A favourite spot for lunch and a glass of wine.

A very enjoyable experience with great food and very good service.

I booked for 3 of us, noting that we had a toddler with us. We were seated and our orders taken politely and efficiently, and food and drink arrived promptly. We would have ordered more drinks and potentially more cake if we had have seen a staff member at all over the ensuing 1.5 hours, but staff were no where to be seen. Clearly they thought we had ordered enough and didn’t warrant any further service. Never mind, we’ll make sure we go somehwere next time that is happy to serve us more drinks after the first ones!

Very busy for a monday but pleasantly surprised with the high level of service, quality of food and noise level was great. Thank you. Will come again.

I think that The Food Republic is a great place and the options have a wide range and the gluten free options are really good the service was impeccable the food came fast and the staff were funny and lovely highly recommend for everyone

Food very good, service very good, but too crowded and too loud for my friend and myself. We could not hear each other speak, having said that we are in our mid seventies.

Attentive staff with great service even though they were busy. Superb food as usual.

Food was great, loved that they had a specials menu to add more options. Car park opposite is small and hasn't had a spot when I've been there. However, there is another car park not too far away with three hour parking.

Loved the food. Going back again. Not many car parks opposite but there is a bigger car park not too far away.
