Had high expectations and came away disappointed. May try again another time.

We celebrated a special occasion. The service was professional, the food was delicious. We really enjoyed the setting, it's such a lovely old building.

My partner and I went on Valentines Day for the set menu. Everything was going averagely, i was essentially told that i should have my steak cooked medium/well done for a specific cut of steak, i accepted the waitress' suggestion and made it clear that i would be happy with a medium cooked steak. This is where it goes down hill, I received my main meal, which was obviously the wrong steak, a fillet and not the rib eye. Accepting the mistake and proceeding with my dinner, i soon realised the steak wasn't cooked through at a medium level. The steak was undoubtedly still raw/blue - which in my and many others view was inedible, unfortunately i had half a steak left. I let the waitress know and she went to see her manager regarding the issue, it had been a solid 30min before her return at which we were told i had received the wrong steak and it was cooked incorrectly. Having just voiced my dismay about this exact issue i was confused as to why the waitress was telling me this all again. I was offered several mutually exclusive offers over the next 10 minutes - a replacement steak, a 'takeaway' steak, another round of drinks, extra dessert and for 2 drinks to be removed from our order. I had to illustrate my disappointment of meal and the worth/value of that meal to both the waitress and floor manager. being a $120 set menu i deduced the value of the steak to be approx $50-$60, all the offers for replacements or deductions equated to only half of this value at best and it became quite clear that we were starting to become irritating and annoying to the manager. She began to become quite short and rude with her responses and could not understand that our meals had both been ruined by the way she handled the situation. As long as the value of the steak was covered with a deduction in either value or drinks removed from the night i would be happy. eventually after what felt like negotiating with a politician she agreed with the removal of 'some' drinks and allowed us to continue on with our night. My partner and I have been to Meat and Wine Co a few times already and this was easily the worst experience i have had there. i understand mistakes can be made in the kitchen on a busy night, and i was willing to accept that. what i cant accept is rude, impolite and immature handling of a situation that could've obviously been dealt with understanding and maturity. In my opinion the manager was at fault on this night and id be disappointed to return and see her there again.

Staff were excellent and the service was efficient and friendly, the starters were very good with the Sezchuan Calamari a clear stand out as usual. However, on ordering the Beef and Prawn skewer I was asked how I like the Beef cooked and I asked for rare. On arrival the meet was medium and the Prawns overcooked bordering on dry. My partner ordered the Salmon skewer and was delighted whilst our friends had a Lamb Shank which was excellent and a New York steak which was below average. I've had steak here before and it was perfect, but tonight both steaks were badly cooked and that's not good for meat specialist

Service was superb. Food was amazing. Drink selection was on point.

Great food and the waitress was awesome pairing the wine with the steak for a great combo.

Went for lunch on Valentine's day. Had biltong for entree which was yummy & ordered the lasagna for my main. The lasagna looked great but it didn't agree with me after two mouthfulls so I had to send it back (Not their fault, just me). They let me order something else without charging for lasagna. I had the pumpkin salad with haloumi which was delicious and fresh. My partner had ribs & loved them. Desert was raspberry & apple pie which was so good. Great service & great food. Will return.

I had the great time. The food were delicious and good atmosphere. But, one thing was service for drink. I was order 3 class of wine but waiter suggested to order bottle that cast me less. I didn't like the taste so I asked to change. But he told me that wine can change. Than after the bottle, I ordered the other wine but he didn't bring the bottle til we finished meal.

Dropped in after a flight from Bali that day. Needless to say we were really looking forward to a great meaty meal and you delivered it. Spot on.

Always a lovely experience with friendly staff and the food is great. The only issue is when you want to book the restaurant, its difficult to book the right side of the restaurant in the booths.

Lovely restaurant - great atmosphere and beautiful decor. Food was outstanding. Only small issue - music was a bit loud so it was difficult to hear conversation without raising our voices. Overall very good.

The food was delicious, couldn’t fault it and wouldn’t want to. Our waitress was delightful and fun. The restaurant was packed and the atmosphere great. We’ve been several times before and will definitely be going back. It’s consistently good☺️

Everything was great but was a bit of a wait for service for drinks and hard to catch the eye of the Wait staff.

Great ambience, service and food. Price a little higher than expected so missed out on a 6 for that but overall a great experience

Service was a little under cooked, asked a number of times for entree to come out before main, which did not occur.

Steak was over cooked even tho I did ask for medium-well but was very well done and tasted very burnt

We will not be returning. My fillet steak was lovely. My husband and son in law had grissly rump steak. My husband was refunded the cost of his meal. He left feeling very hungry. The noise was overpowering. The wine was overpriced. The whole adventure cost $400 + for 4 people one course and two bottles of wine.

Fantastic food, great setting and the service was outstanding. Will definitely be returning soon 👍🏻

Went for a birthday dinner on a Friday night in December - extremely busy as you’d expect but no delay on service or meals. The meat was fantastic, the vegetable dish (artichoke with mint) was disappointing (tasted like they were from a jar, not fresh) but definitely still edible. Our sauces didn’t arrive but when we flagged someone down and reminded them, they got them to us a few minutes later. Great atmosphere and decor. Overall a great night - we’ll be back!

Great location and service entree was a bit rich 2 x prawns for $24. Mains was great would recommend

We came to celebrate my husbands 68th birthday. He is getting very finicky as he gets older but he loved his steak, I loved the ribs and we both enjoyed the selection of wine. We will definitely be back soon and plan to bring the relatives when they come yo visit next year.

The food took 90min for a steak and one of our guests actually had to leave it took so long for the food to arrive. The chicken was also cold when it arrived.
