I felt like the servings were not very big for the price. The special fried rice was just boiled rice with a handful of vegetables, 2 small prawns and some sauce for colour.

Peacock Inn is a great spot in Broadbeach for a meal.

The staff was nice enough, the place was clean, decor a bit boring. Unfortunately, there was what seemed to be a large work function on which was a bit off putting and massively awkward to listen to the CEO Chinese guy rambling on. We had mixed entree starter, alright bit oily. I had satay king prawn which was alright flavour wise with rice, it was kinda slapped onto a plate, lacking presentation. My partner had sweet & sour pork with special fried rice which seemed nice, pork was good. Overall, not bad prices but not amazing.

The food was good and very reasonably priced but the service was slow. It’s a good location and was fine except for the slow service, especially considering that the restaurant was not very busy. Water wasn’t offered when we arrived but was supplied on request. Restaurant staff were pleasant and helpful

Recommend the combination Chow Mein with soft noodle. I always ask for some soy and chilli as well. A Chinese maitre de who actually shuffles in his slippers. You can tell the food is good because Gourmet Express gets their orders from here. Best to book.

Surroundings were clean and pleasant, staff were very efficient and the food was good. My on-line booking was simple and effective. All in all a very enjoyable experience.
