A very late review. Went for mother's day 2019. Staff were both excellent and friendly as we had a bad experience and our mother didn't arrive, we waited for over two hours (for her and when we gave up and found out that she just couldn't find the place and refused to use maps), had a quick meal which was a bit bland but the drinks and atmosphere were fantastic. Although it was full, the staff didn't harass us to order quickly as they could see how tensed we were. Thank you for being so understanding.

all good , enjoyed by all good food at reasonable prices. Better than I expected.

Food is lovely but there is inconstency in how presented.

We booked online but when we arrived at the venue we where turned away because they where fully booked!! 😔

Nice setting, original surroundings. The food for a larger group was served in a haphazard fashion, with confusion on the part of the management regarding one patron's courses which was unsatisfactory and turned out to be costly. It was generally very expensive for what it was. Service organization needed improvement. The staff were helpful and did their best.

Party of 5 attended for lunch today and must say we were all very impressed with venue and meals, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere made for a lovely Sunday get together with family.

Stunning outdoors, amazing internal, incredible fireplace. Terrible service, average food, long wait times, waitstaff are rude, slow, unprofessional. Food is average to OK at best.

Staff need better training, was not told about the buffet styled breakfast when booking, a lot of the food was cold, for a medium group booking and little other patrons, we were placed at a terrible table. Awesome venue though

I booked weeks in advance and requested a table by the fire. I was told this would happen. I then called the day before and it was confirmed we would be by the fire. When the 7 of us arrived we were told we were upstairs. Aside from having one guest who is terminally ill and stairs are very painful for him, I booked a table by the fire weeks ago. When I asked for the manager Mykala (the manager) was extremely rude and told us it was too bad and we had a table upstairs and if that wasn’t acceptable then we could leave as she had nothing else. When I said we booked the table by the fire she told me they got a bigger booking (10) and since we were ‘only’ 7 people, she had given our table to them!!!!! I have called 3 times asking to speak to the owner, left my contact number and 1.5 weeks later I am still waiting for his call!!! There is no table service and you have to keep getting up and queuing for meals, drinks, desserts, coffees. Noise levels are deafening. The building is lovely wood and great fireplace but the food and lack of service don’t warrant the trip way out past Gidgegannup. There are many places in Perth we can all choose from where you don’t get abused!

A winter's day. Groups for Christmas in July...but those did not spoil it. HOWEVER one of our 3 meals was inedible...parm: chicken...tough...we asked for a steak knife and got another ordinary serated one...which could not cut through. The meal was given back to the staff but No apologies given. Having said that the other 2 meals of fish and chips were very good.. it is worth going just for the building and the grounds.
