Torisson in Carlton is a stylish Japanese restaurant that’s adding to the Melbourne food scene one delicious izakaya dish at a time. Located on Queensberry Street, expect fresh sashimi, steaming bowls of ramen, succulent meats from the grill and some of the most unique and creative flavour combinations in town. Think dishes along the lines of charcoal grilled avocado filled with ponzu, nori salt and wasabi; salmon with daikon oroshi and pork belly chashu don with onsen tamago (slow-cooked egg), nori and pickled ginger. A favourite for very good reason, Melbourne folks have been flocking to Torissong of late, so reservations ahead of time are essential to avoid disappointment.
The food was great, and the staff were very friendly. We took our kids and there was enough variety for the whole family. Will definitely go back.
Very nice food. Excellent service. No waiting times. Probably a little pricey but would go again.
We visited after hearing good recommendations from two different people. The Food was excellent and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be back again.
