Amazing food and the bad was great too. The owner came to say hello and was really nice and friendly. Will definitely be back! Thanks!
Yummy foods, great location, nice set up, beautiful atmosphere, service is superb and attentive to details. The only down side the foods portions are slightly small. Overall is a great restaurant to give it a try
Great food and service but the music was far too loud and ruined the mood. This is not the restaurants fault (the band were hired to play) but it was frustrating as everyone was struggling to hear and speak on all the tables I could see around me. A few people had mentioned it to the staff but it wasn’t until about 20 mins later that we could all enjoy our conversations again. I’d totally go back but not on a Saturday late night if I actually wanted to talk to my dinner guest.
Vamos isn’t just a Spanish restaurant in the heart of Melbourne, but it’s also an entertainment venue which hosts live music and dancing during its opening hours, from Thursdays to Sundays. Whether it’s flamenco dancing or a jazz trio, the live acts are always at the top of their class, and guaranteed to provide a good time. Ideal for events or corporate functions, Vamos’ premises on Little Bourke Street in the CBD can be rented out during from Monday to Wednesday, when the restaurant is closed.
The cuisine at Vamos is as excellent as its live acts, and includes Spanish entradas like polenta-crumbed salmon and coriander croquettes served with chilli cream, seared scallops and Peruvian kingfish ceviche. Platos fuertes, or hot plates, consist of dishes like marinated king salmon, Basque-style slow-braised lamb shoulder or Rangers Valley Wagyu beef skewers, all served with a variety of delicious Spanish sides. Vamos in Melbourne’s central business district offers desserts galore, with unique options like quinoa pudding with honey and cinnamon ice cream providing a nice way to go out with a bang before leaving. Reservations are a must!
