First visit and pleasantly surprised at the huge menu and quality and portion size of food

There were no patrons, so it was quiet 5.30pm, no music so awkward atmosphere. Food ok, no problems with quality or size. The young man waiter feel like he hate working the family business, no smile, no welcome, just do job. Very nice design of interior.

Went on the King’s Birthday public holiday. The food was great—fresh, tasty and generous servings. However, I was surprised to find the final bill was around 20% higher than the menu prices. I assume it was a public holiday surcharge (common in Melbourne), but it wasn’t disclosed anywhere on the menu or at the counter. Even the vegan pâté I grabbed at the counter was marked as $4.50 but I was charged $5.40. I want to support vegan businesses, but basic price transparency is important. If there’s a surcharge, just clearly state it somewhere—especially if it’s a steep one.

So happy Huong Viet decided to open a similar restaurant run by the same team in the Eastern suburbs. We had two different types of soup noodles, both were amazingly delicious. The pricing is a bit on the higher side but they gave us so much ingredients and it was very filling. We will come back again.
