Overall all very good. Was just a little disappointed that they had run out of the Ricotta tart and that they hadnt advised us when giving us the dessert menu

Everything was perfect except for the table. It is very good looking but too wide for easy hearing of conversation and it had a solid support in the middle which meant we couldn't stretch out our legs.

Lovely meal, but some additional side dish choices would be good. Dessert menu choices rather limited. Friendly staff, nice location. Maybe a little slow to get drinks at the start.

Helpful, well informed waiters. Beautiful Italian wines and a modern, delicious interpretation of Italian cuisine, using fresh Australian produce A welcomed addition to North Shore dining.

Saturday night. This cosy weekday/night restaurant was noisy, crowded, too many tables, not enough staff. Drinks arrived AFTER the starter and main course. Shouting to be heard within our party of 4. Won't book there on a weekend night again.

We had an excellent Italian waiter with a great sense of humor, service was quick and food arrived hot and delicious. We took friends along who had never been there before and they were most impressed. It so good to have such a top restaurant close by.

Good food. Staff could have been more welcoming which was a surprise as they have been excellent in the past. Portion sizes a little small. Cheese platter was excellent.

I've been wanting to go to Via Alta for a long time. It was definitely worth the wait. We were warmly greeted by the waiters when we entered the restaurant and the service was excellent. We loved the atmosphere which is very warm and cozy and the food was outstanding. The mushroom and truffle bruschetta was to die for and the barramundi was fantastic. My partner had the prawns and the sauce was amazing. We were going out to a show so we didn't have time for dessert, but we'll make sure that we leave time for it next time.
