Wonderful hosts and excellent food. This is a restaurant that get the "balance" of the food perfect. Nothing overpowers the flavours and it's all fresh. Highly recommend a visit to this place.

The food was great; however my chosen meal included bread but there was no bread. Did ask for it and I received it with no butter or oil, it was very dry and hard to eat.

great friendly staff but the food was on the bland side, some meals were overdone and dry, others not much of the promised ingredients...the lemoncello offered at the end was a nice touch...please improve the food and we will be back

Lovely Italian food. Try the Olives made the Ascoli way. The Arancini. The Cannelloni.....in fact, all 9 people on our table enjoyed the meals. Wonderful service, food quality very good, and as should be heaps of food. The Italian Way. One small issue, one vey loud table nearby, but that was manageable.

The room upstairs was extremely hot. The arancini balls were very dry and the other meals were average. Very disappointed.

The food was really tasty and the serves generous. We liked the decor and once the music was turned down a bit we were also able to enjoy our conversations. Very happy to go there again.

Great food and service. Are you charged for the sparkling water provided. I was not paying but think we may have been accidently over charged when I checked the on line menu prices.

A rare eye fillet was ordered, but came out dry and very well done, and one guest vomited the dinner after a few hours of returning home.

Very good value for money. As it was near to Christmas there a few fairly large tables which made it very noisy. Will certainly go back at a less busy time.

Service was not good. One of our party ordered agnolotti and was served ravioli. One entree was served only when we asked where it was. We had to ask for a glass for an ordered soft drink! The can was plonked unopened on the table and the waiter walked off! The food was excellent but the noise was overwhelming and when the waiter service is only average it spoils the evening which was a birthday celebration.

linguine needed seafood other than imported prawns. Too much zucchini.

Website needs updated menus for each location otherwise great restaurant

Fabulous service but the food was very disappointing. Pasta by numbers.Three sauces and choose your pasta type. Cheap and friendly but the food was disappointing overall. With so much excellent Italian food out there, this restaurant Needs to rethink their menu. How about some great slow cooked ragu sauces and specials rather than just three sauces.

Food delicious, wine lovely, atmosphere warm and staff excellent. A friendly environment

the food was varied and delicious with plenty to choose from.

The restaurant is very noisy, and hot although the air conditioner is being replaced. It is a restaurant where people can come in to get take home orders but the problem is that they congregate around the tables, and talk on their mobiles like one is in a train. As soon as new customers enter, the staff are attentive to them, and forget about the table, which is what happened to us. It took another 10 minutes for the waiter to come back to finalise our order. Whilst the food is great, the atmosphere is terrible. The combination of take out focus versus restaurant is challenging, and I am unlikely to return.

Service was very good unfortunately food was woeful. Very disappointing as I have been going to the Oakleig restaurant for many years.
