We were so looking forward to coming here, but found there was virtually nothing that was dairy free, leaving 2 of the 6 of us with a choice of fried rice or the bringal Curry. So disappointed. We also ordered 2 glasses of the Brown Brothers rose - to find it incredibly sweet! It was a rose moscato which was not written as such on the menu they kindly didn’t charge us for that and we didn’t drink it. But we then needed to find somewhere else which was tricky on s Sat night. I’m sure for dairy eaters the food would be lovely!
First time dining at this restaurant. Read the recent reviews and noted some scathing reviews. Decided to try as the place looked nice outside. Booked dinner for 4. Ordered the lamb lal gosht medium heat, chicken korma mild, bindi vegetable curry, butter naan, butter roti, pulao peas, saffron rice, mango lassi, plain lassi and chocolate milk shake. We wanted the kadai but it was not available, so opted for the lamb lal gosht. Wanted the paneer egg plant but not available also so no choice opted for the bindi. Anyway, the food arrived. The chicken korma had a lot of sauce but on 4 cubes of meat. Lamb only had 5 cubes of meat. So it works to to be $5 a bite. Didn’t notice the extremely measly portion ( for the price ) as it was all full of curry gravy. Only noticed when we keep scooping nothing but curry after a few bites. Ended up having to eat the rice with nothing but gravy. Milk shake had to ice cream also out of stock as was told by the waitress. We noted a table of 3 ladies walked away without ordering while we still eating. The couple next to us had a coupon after paying. They looked unhappy . We continue our dinner feeling very underwhelmed, unsatisfied and still hungry. Halfway through our meal , we told the waitress about the lack of taste for the lamb, it needed more Spice / salt and also told her about how few pieces of meat for $21.80 , she just apologise , gave a sheepish smile and did nothing. After paying we still gave her the feedback, she just talked to Her co worker whom did nothing. We got the coupon , we threw it in the bin as it is not worth going back for a meal twice that is disappointing. The coupon is the ultimate insult for all the customers. I serious think the restaurant needs to buck up or boot out.
Restaurant wasn't open at the booking time or time written on the front door or google. Terribly disappointed.
Very enjoyable, food was lovely and I’d recommend it for a very nice, casual Indian meal
