Akaba Japanese Restaurant Brighton is a big hit with Melbourne foodies, and it’s no wonder really! Serving up incredibly fresh and tasty Japanese eats, this Bay Street joint draws quite the crowd. With something for everyone – including those on vegan, vegetarian or gluten-free diets – the wide range of dishes on offer at Akaba Japanese Restaurant is sure to both delight and entice even the fussiest of eaters. Whether you like to eat your sushi with tempura prawn and avocado in a hand-held cone by the name of temaki or if you’re more of a unagi don (smoked eels with rice and a paper-thin omelette) kinda person with – you’ll be well chuffed with this spot!
Great food friendly staff always enjoy eating there. The Agadashi Tofu and the sashimi and sushi platter to share are a must. They also make steamed rice with seaweed and sesame seeds which is unusual and yummy. I would highly recommend Akaba for a casual night out.
Great food, beautifully presented with friendly service, some of the best sushi and sashimi I have had recently, I recommend it for anyone who would like some good Japanese food in the Bayside area.
Great food and service. Every dish was delicious- We tried the scallops, the eggplant, the special beef, gyoza and sushi. The sushi wasn’t the best I’ve had but would definitely go back.
