Food was good and the service was friendly. However, it has been a bit up and down.

Some people enjoyed their food, others ... not so much. Staff are lovely.

The new furniture and layout makes a big difference to the ambience in the dining area. All who attended the lunch agreed it was a good positive experience and would recommend the Alma to family and friends

Our son rang us to say how much he enjoyed the Sunday roast buffet at the Alma Hotel last week. We decided that we would drive down and try it out seeing it was a nice cool day! We were disappointed that the buffet was not on so we ordered the large roast, we had to wait for quite some time, and when it came it wasn’t even a true roast, just a couple of boiled potatoes , one small carrot, a piece of broccolini, and a little bit of pumpkin, and a few slices of roasted lamb with some gravy? My wife had an upset stomach for all the next day! We live in Woodcroft and will not drive all the way down there again for that offering!!!

we arrived to find they did not have a reservation for us??? the barman apologised and did not charge us for our drinks- which was a help-- however no food!

Unfortunately chips were over cooked. Didn’t have all the ingredients for the mixed grill which was ok except th steak thy gave was only 2 mouthfuls and the bacon was like old leather. The burger we had tasted like it had been reheated and the chicken burger was not southern fried and it was tasteless. Sorry 😢

Service was excellent. Menu extensive. Prices attractive to seniors. More publicity needs to be given to the services offered.

Such a fabulous little country pub! The staff are friendly and provide great customer service and the food is excellent in both value & quality. We have visited a few times now & I have to give a big thumbs 👍 up for the Sunday roast buffet & the fish & chips. Everything is beautifully cooked & presented. They also serve great coffee, which we had after our meal. We plan on having a Xmas lunch there with about 15+ people & are definitely looking forward to it. "Great service & Great food!"

Schnitzel for both of us. Very generous serves with fresh salad. Sauce served on the side, so schnitzel stayed crispy. Attentive service.

Nice friendly service, great selection for the Indian buffet with sides.

Mediocre average schnitzels, burnt crumbing. Bland garlic sauce. However service was very good

The restaurat was very quiet at Tuesday lunch time. Service was very friendly and efficient. All our meals were delicious.

Had a steak sandwich which was really good. Other party members had roast of the day and mixed grill and both were enjoyed too. Prices seemed pretty good too. We visited on a Friday at lunch time and didn't have to wait very long for food and drinks. Lovely little pub and I'm sure we'll visit again.

Lovely old pub with original decor but done up & warm environment, if u get bar staff they capable, helpful& friendly (as opposed2dining room staff) with warm fireplace inside to eat good basic food that's been modernised.......

Have been a long time patron of the Alma , I was disappointed that I booked and when we arrived they couldn’t find our booking, Kyle looked after us and his usual high standard of customer service, we had the seniors meal and was nice but not much food
