Blackfish Cafe & Grill

This was my first time visiting blackfish and was out for a casual lunch with family. A table was quickly prepared for us and our orders taken promptly. The meals were all exceptional and came out without to long a wait. I will definately be back.

Great location and view. Wait staff friendly but dropped drink over my companion and weren’t compensated. Food was priced very reasonably and presented well. The dishes we selected both came with an ‘Asian slaw’. This was slopped on top of the soft shell crab and the fried calamari resulting in cooling both down. Surely the ,slaw’ or salad goes on the side of the dish.

Fantastic venue, service terrific, friendly staff and great food. Our group of ladies loved the attention the staff showed us but they also left us to enjoy our own company. Well done.

It’s a lovely cafe. The location is amazing and the staff are great and really accommodating. A decent variety of food, would have been better if the seafood platter had less fried stuff.

Atmosphere and location is great, the high tea menu could be more balanced, only 2 savoury dishes and about 6 sweet. Staff are friendly. Could be a bit more attentive and concerned less about clearing away

Blackfish Cafe is an outdoor venue. Beautiful view from restaurant overlooking the Georges River. Umbrellas provide shade and there was a breeze from the water.

Young friendly staff, tasty food. The position above the river is lovely with an interesting outlook. There is a children’s playground near by and ample parking during the week although busy on the weekend.

Overall good experience. We were a party of 9 with 3 children. The children's meals came out first which was good but the adult meals came out 30 min later which meant they were finished before we got started. Food was good, location was terrific and while things were slow coming out we were quite satisfied and will be back.

Food was delicious, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and the view is just spectacular. Blackfish is real gem and I highly recommend a visit.

A very pretty location with wonderful food the breakfast menu is extensive and a lot of variety this restaurant is well worth a visit . Staff are very helpful and pleasant

Lovely setting - well protected from the sun with various table umbrellas - service very fast with meals - I had smashed avo with whipped feta pomegranate and mint - def could of done with more feta as only a very thin smear on toast and One small leaf of mint - plenty of avocado - will visit again

Great venue! Beautiful views! Food fine for brekky! Staff overworked by crowd so service suffered! Staff need a few smiles to go with their veneer of efficiency!

Great view and excellent service, we enjoyed the food and a big thank to the chef and waitress on such a hot hot day last Wednesday.

We loved the view, the service, the food was fresh and tasty. The only thing was the wait for the food, but understandably so given the number of visitors.

Great location. Good cafe food. Well priced. A great place to take the kids or for a casual family lunch. The park and the swimming pool make it a nice day out.

Although the restaurant was busy everything went smoothly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic! And the view never fails to impress! Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Food was hit and miss. Service average at best - one person’s order was missed and arrived after the other 8 people had finished. Location excellent so it’s a shame.

Booked on line for two of us - had great seats and happy to say it was delicious food, staff great and view terrific though bit windy - can't control the weather! would like to return soon!

Excellent food, location and atmosphere. The service was quick and friendly. Great day in the sunshine. First time there, will definitely return. Highly recommend it.

Service was very slow as they were very busy combining takeaways with table service. I also felt that 15% surcharge for public holiday was excessive.

Fab location, service excellent and friendly however my toasted ham, cheese and mustard panini was not the best. It kept sliding apart so really hard to eat and the cheese seemed very processed.... sorry! However other meals looked good...

Great spot - bit hot in the direct sun - food presentation - great! Fritters were a bit tasteless and mushy. Pancakes lovely! Love this café!

The staff were friendly, food fresh and with good coffee. The view and location are the main treat. Unfortunately the service was poor on this occasion.

We had the best time celebrating a birthday. The view was great and the service was outstanding, congratulations whoever was on staff wise. The menu was also great!

Great view. Perfect summer time cafe. Need to get to 25 words so ill just type anything. Oh yeah coffee was good to. Publuc pool next door as well.

Perfect Sunday breakfast spot! Food was great and not too pricey. Service was a little slow but it was relatively busy and there's plenty of view to take in while waiting.

Alright service, fantastic food, beautiful location but the kitchen was playing music fairly loudly which was a little disappointing as it ruined the peaceful location.

Great location spectacular 270 degree views of the river. Service friendly and efficient. Tasty and somewhat different menu. Excellent variety - light meal option available also take away service. Reasonably priced.

Blackfish Cafe has an awesome setting right on the water. I was eating beautifully prepared food and enjoying the excellent service! Great date setting! What a treat!

Lovely atmosphere with a peaceful view over the water and where you can chat and don't have to yell over music. Good food and service too

We had lovely weather and it was a beautiful spot. The food was so good we had to share and try each dish. More than what I would normally pay for lunch, but the servings were generous. Tasty food, given a chance, will be back again.

The cafe is on a beautiful water location, has a sunny spot and the is food excellent. Children accommodated and the coffee is first class

Food was really good, the service also really good, the location absolutely perfect. The only negative was that some of the external seating, for larger groups, was in a windy area. Looking forward to going again in warmer weather.
