Very nice food. I had the prawn noodle soup and the tempura prawns were sucullent inside and crispy coating outside. The fried chicken pieces were delicious too. Service was prompt and the atmosphere was pleasant.

I like Japanese food and this restaurant has a very rich menu. Very nice food, nice atmosphere. I will definitely come back here many times more.

A nice, big restaurant with pleasant atmosphere in Canberra China Town that served us tasty Japanese meals with steamed clams in sake sauce and grilled mackerel. The service was good and we had a nice time.

The food is really nice at Bon Kura but the service is always a bit slow, though friendly enough, usually. It takes a while to place an order, then often some of the dishes / drinks are missing and you have to ask for them. (This has happened on more than one visit to us, and I was talking to a friend about it and she said she doesn't go there anymore for the same reason.) Sashimi, karaage, gyoza and sushi was nice. Teriyaki beef was a bit tough and padded out with way too much onion for my taste. Japanese ice creams are really nice. More expensive than other nearby Japanese places and the decor is fancier but the food isn't better, in my opinion. We go there for special occasions and when we have plenty of time, but not for a quick, cheap Japanese meal.

Very good set menu (including a beer and oysters) from start to finish. The dishes were satisfying. The service was good and we will likely return.

Salmon inari and spicy seafood fried rice were amazing! Food came quickly once ordered. One dish was left off but we were glad as we had more than enough to eat. Will definitely go back!

Food very good, except eel dish hard to see the eel. Temperature a bit too cold. Service efficient, but the initial welcome a bit brusque.

Fantastic to finally be able to eat such clean Japanese food. No chemical stock powders to play havoc with your metabolism, the ramen stocks are made in house from pork bones. Beautiful sashimi. Owners and staff who work hard to make you happy.

Great menu included a wide range of Japanese dishes. Good quality & value. Friendly service and a modern Japanese style venue. We will be back.

The food was fresh, it was hard choosing what to have as there is so much variety on the menu. The Service was friendly and we had fun experience.

Nice Japanese Devore, the food was tasty and very well presented unfortunately the female staff member that occasionally looked after our table might as well not have been there as she simply was not interested whilst the male provided the opposite level of service

The food was fantastic! Beautiful flavours and generous portions. The deep fried soft shell crab was melt in your mouth. The food also came very quickly after we placed our order.
