Burgers can change lives, or at least, at Brunswick Burger Buzz on Sydney Road they can. This contemporary American-style burger paradise does things a bit differently from other such new-wave places around Melbourne. FIrst, they utilise only the best all-natural, grass-fed beef to make their patties, something that explains the deep, delicious flavour of them. Brunswick Burger Buzz is also not just a burger joint, because you’ll also find a cool beer garden out the back where you can relax and survey the lengthy list of quality wines and hoppy craft beers, ideal for washing down your beefy buns – not that they necessarily have to be beefy...
Great burgers I had the yank tank and beer batteredchips chips and nice venue , 5 beer and cider taps and large beer garden - friendly staff too,
As cool as their Sydney Road space is (think corrugated iron, quirky nic-nacs, exposed brick and wooden tables) and creative drinks menu, the range of seriously tasty burgers is what really sets Brunswick Burger Buzz apart from other Melbourne burger places. The options are too many to describe here, and too delicious to do so without inducing a stream of drool – but to give you some idea they go from a dainty tempura-battered cajun shrimp slider up to the renowned triple-beef-and-cheese ‘Brunswick Boss’.
In between, you can go American (the Philly cheesesteak is predictably irresistible, and the ‘Yank Tank’ features a zingy American cheddar), Aussie (yes, they turned chicken parma into an awesome burger), spicy, tropical, veggie (the ‘Eastern Promise’ with locally-grown potato and curry patty, smashed avo and hot sauce is a winner) and lots more, with of course all the hot wings, beer-battered fries and onion rings you can handle on offer, too. Plonked right on Sydney Road, Brunswick Burger Buzz is certainly no hidden Melbourne secret, though – if you taste these burgers, you talk, trust us – so if you want to avoid queuing it’s wise to reserve a spot ahead of time.
