Cafe63 - Ross Evans Garden Centre

We had the fish and chips as it did not come with salad we ordered a large salad to share. Unfortunately we had only been given the specials menu not the ful menu until it was time to order sweets. The fish was beautiful the chips were yummy but need not have had so many. I was dissapointed in the salad it was not qite enough to share between three, I would have preferred a fresh garden salad. For sweets I just had the pikelets, it was good to b e able to have a half serve.It was good to be able to have something light with my cogfee. Pat had the icecream with strawberries and she said they were lovely. All in all a very enjoyable day. Lovely setting. Shameit was a hot day. Good to be able to browse arond the nursery.

Excellent food at reasonable price. Table service efficient and friendly. Child Friendly. Overall great experience in a garden setting. Had a great birthday lunch with the family

Great location in a garden nursery and meals are excellent. We were there for lunch but I actually had a breakfast which was way too big for me.

We had an excellent breakfast at cafe 63, the food is cooked to perfection and reasonably priced. All staff are friendly and on the ball. A great place for a family get together.

BEAUTIFUL garden surroundings which made for a lovely atmosphere! I had scones which were very average tasting but the other meal, chicken wrap was yum. More interaction between staff & customer would be good.

Keith and I invited 3 couples to join us at Café 63,as it was my 75th Birthday! We enjoy the ambience and your food is always excellent! Thank you for making it a wonderful day!

Cafe63 is great. Food is good, staff are friendly and efficient and the ambience is just wonderful. Our latest visit was on a very hot day and the breezes coming thru across the gardens overcame the excessive heat. It was a delight.

Beautiful atmosphere, fabulous food and friendly staff. The menu was extensive and reasonably priced with something for everyone. Will certainly be returning with all the family!

Service and food not up to the great standards you set when you first opened. We have been frequent visitors to this cafe for years, when it was called Waterside Cafe, and since it became Cafe 63. Yesterday the 15th February we came for lunch and this is the first time we have been disappointed. The Roger Bannister was fine. However the prawn salad was so dry as to be unappetising and wasn’t eaten. The fish and chips with calamari was ok but the chips were soft and almost cold. Nowhere near your usual standard. We ordered drinks but the wait for them to arrive entailed a call to the waiter, who seemed to be wandering around aimlessly, to ascertain if, in fact, he had remembered the order. Very disappointing given your usual high standard of food and service. We didn’t say anything to the wait staff as we got the impression that they were totally unenthusiastic about their job. Unfortunately I left my reading glasses on the table, not realising this until I got home. I contacted your central number and spoke to a lady who told me she would send a message to the Cafe and someone from the Cafe would get back to me. I heard nothing so sent an email to Cafe 63, still no word back. I then made two further phone calls to your central number and more promises were made that I would be notified if my spectacles had been found. By 9:00am this morning my husband decided we would take the 1/2 hour drive to the cafe on the off chance that my specs had been found. Fortunately they were handed in and I was pleased to get them. Disappointed that no one had let us know they had been found.

The day was very hot and the fans were not quite adequate. The staff were very nice. The fish was well cooked. I personally don't like the mixed salad that is used every where and there was too much of it. I had dessert and that was very nice. The coffee cup was a bit hard to handle for my older friend. The coffee was good . I have been in the restaurant business a long time ago. We do like to go to Ross Evans. Anita

Very enjoyable experience. Open air relaxed atmosphere. Service helpful. Not rushed. Many food choices. All meal/drink selections enjoyed. Would recommend to others and look forward to return visits.

Realy good choice of food Infact your spoilt for choice. Friendly staff. Plenty of cold water. Good value for money. Lovely setting. Will be going back.

Everyone enjoyed their meal but the comment was passed that the service could have been better, the table cleared quicker and coffee orders taken sooner.

Great food & service friendly staff nothing is too much trouble plus we are able to take our poodle. Also lots to see in the Garden area.

It is an extremely busy cafè on Sunday morning however the staff did very well. Food good and atmosphere great. We had a very large table and food was served to all in a timely manner.

Our breakfasts and coffee were very good. The service was obliging, but simply overwhelmed and slow, due to the number of guests. Just need more hands on deck.

Food was OK but too much salad leaves. I like salad but there was way too much. Service could have been better after we were given the menu it took a long time before our order was taken. In the end we had to ask for the order to be taken. When I went to pay the staff were unable to get the eftpos machine working as it had run out of paper. I wasnt able to get a printed receipt and I like to have one to check my credit card statement each month.

Yes cafe 63 is always a good experience, very good value, an extensive menu, something for everyone, good coffee, which always arrives just how you order it. Staff are friendly and helpful with the menu and they don't mind changing things around for you, chicken instead of prawns etc. It's very pleasant too, walking through the nursery to reach the cafe, seeing all the lovely plants on sale. There are fresh flowers on sale, also newspapers to read or purchase. I highly recommend Cafe 63.

The food was not too bad but the service was terrible no one came to our table to see if we would like dessert or coffee or a drink. My plate was still in front of me when we left.

Venue and food great but wait staff need training. Lack of knowledge, 30-40min wait for order to be taken, then same to have plates removed after eating. Staff were friendly and happy but only 3 working lunchtime on Australia Day. Management need to take notice.

Great reasonably priced breakfast in very nice surrounding. Suggest teach staff not to reach across in front of their guests when serving, basic hospitality! i.e. serve each person individually. That's the only negative.

Ambience and food are still great. Service is sadly poor which spoils the outing. Next time we'll order before we sit down. They seem to forget all about seated customers.

The atmosphere within the Nursery is always peaceful. The menu offers a great selection for even the fussiest diner. It is our local favourite destination for breakfast.

great open and cool area, a little slow table wait area however meals were delivered quickly once orders were taken, meal quality excellent, option on small or large serving's well worth a visit and we will return.

Great food, very slow approach for ordering by wait staff. Had to actually signal to a staff member a few times before catching anyone’s eye

A really lovely atmosphere in a garden setting. Good choice and range of food on menu. and the meals were nicely presented. We will come again.

Food was great- reasonable prices and generous serves. It was very fresh and tasty. Coffee was also great and our waitress was very friendly and efficient. Would definitely go back.

Lots of choice on the menus something for everyone. Service was good so is the food but we did have a bit of a wait for it

One point deducted because we had to ask for someone to take our order and when our drinks arrived they were all placed on the table without asking who ordered which drink.

Good food at reasonable prices. Birds can sometimes be a pest but when you eat in a garden atmosphere you need to expect some feathered friends!

Lovely quasi outdoor location. Huge menu and very moderate prices. We were a group of 8 and it was managed well. All meals were enjoyed. Especially liked that we could pay individually.

Had a group pf 16. Two tables in an area by ourselves - great. Wide menu, range of prices, able to BYO. Staff attentive. Didn't have to wait long for meals. Staff did not hurry us out. Always pleasant & good breeze. Good sized meals & like that you can order 1/2 meals for small eaters. Been many times & a good place to meet for family or friends.

Café was extremely busy yesterday, staff run off their feet. Thought more wait staff would have been hired for this time of year. Food not up to scratch.

Food was great, servers very friendly, service prompt, we highly recommend this restaurant. We may make this our weekly breakfast haunt..... Also you can’t beat the atmosphere

The food was great, beautiful presentation and great prices and portions Surrounded buy beautiful plants and water features I would have no problem recommend this restaurant for lunch or breakfast Staff are very pleasant

Service was very slow. We had to actually summons a waitress to take our order. One of my pikelets actually had a long black hair cooked into it. Won't be returning there any time soon.

food was varied and tasty. bYO a benefit. We had trouble catching the eye of wait staff to get coffees at end of meal. Feel when they cleared plates they should have asked if anyone would like coffee. A small point, but important. Small biscuit with coffee a nice touch.
