Visited Saturday 18 May - the restaurant was full, the food was exceptionally good, service was excellent and whilst it was little noisy we could still speak to and hear each other. We will be back ! Thank you.
Fantastic food as usual one of our favourite local restaurants
Great food and a lovely venue for an intimate dinner for two.
Always a great night out. Food excellent, BYO, and good value. Can get very noisy though. A bigger venue with more space would be the only improvement I could suggest.
We had a wonderful time. The waiter greeted us by name and our food was delivered very quickly and efficiently. The waiter was very helpful and joked with my son, which made his night. The food is just amazing. Very tasty French food. I recommend the lamb brains for starter, they are really yummy. The serving sizes are generous for the price of this 3 course meal. I recommend booking early. We arrived at 6.15 and this is the perfect time if you get hangry.
Cosy restaurant with a French ambience. Service from our French waiter was excellent, attentive and friendly. Food is very good. My favourite French restaurant . Always enjoy my visits to Chez Maurice et Linda. A little piece of France close to home.
Had a wonderful meal = service was excellent, timely served and delicious. Took my son and daughter for the first time - my son said, "That was the best steak I've had in years!". My daughter felt the creme brulee was the best she had ever had - including in Paris! Definitely my favourite restaurant in the Manly area! What a way to celebrate a birthday!! (They even put a candle on my profiteroles!)
Service was efficient and prompt. The Food was well presented. The menu is limited but that was well known to us before we decided to book. It is a set price for either 2 courses or 3. It’s BYO. The welcome was gruff and impersonal. Throughout the evening the virtual lack of any meaningful friendly personal contact did nothing to encourage us to revisit. We were there to be served and that’s it. We are not here to entertain you or help you enjoy the experience! By contrast, a young woman being taught the ways of the restaurant was friendly and she showed she had previous experience at waiting tables.
Have wanted to visit Chez Maurice and Linda for a long time and wasn't disappointed. The food was delicious and the waiter entertaining. Amongst us we had the snails, oysters, scallops and veal kidney as entree followed by lamb rack, beef Wellington, and various steak dishes. Everybody cleared their plates and only a few had room for dessert. I can't wait to visit again and continue working my way through the menu.
I heard amazing things about this place and gave my dad and his gF a gift voucher for Christmas. He raved about it so I tried it out and it is a perfect little Taste of France! The service was attentive, friendly and French. The food was mouth watering and the ambience was ideal . BYO is always a winner too. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back again.
