Cozy restaurant authentic french food. Like the idea of two set prices for either two or three courses. Nice atmosphere and great service. Very enjoyable.

Service was quite good. The taster of chicken liver pate was very good. Seafood crepe and kidneys entrees were also very good. The duck with orange main was disappointing. Quantity was good but quality was poor. Meat was very dry and sauce lacked expected flavour and body.

We've been to Chex Maurice and Linda's many times and they never disappoint. Always a fabulous meal at a very reasonable price and friendly staff. The chef likes to ensure his patrons have enjoyed their meal and is understandably proud of his skills. Superb!

This is always first class. The Food is traditionally French and amazing quality and the service was impeccable as always. It’s not a cheap eats place but the food is excellent and so worth the money.

We had a wonderful time. The food was amazing( and I am a French person). The staff is absolutely lovely. The service is done in a very kind and a very elegant way. The atmosphere is worn and welcoming. Wonderful people, wonderful food, wonderful time.

Service was efficient and prompt. The Food was well presented. The menu is limited but that was well known to us before we decided to book. It is a set price for either 2 courses or 3. It’s BYO. The welcome was gruff and impersonal. Throughout the evening the virtual lack of any meaningful friendly personal contact did nothing to encourage us to revisit. We were there to be served and that’s it. We are not here to entertain you or help you enjoy the experience! By contrast, a young woman being taught the ways of the restaurant was friendly and she showed she had previous experience at waiting tables.

Always a good spot - need to get in early because it always fills up even on weeknights. Good portion sizes and very tasty - entrees almost a main on its own.

Such great traditional food and service by two lovely girls last night. Top food and great atmosphere. The lamb was amazing as was the pepper steak and chateaubriand, topped off with creme brûlée. BYO and fantastic value for the 2 or 3 course menu.

Great food, which obviously gives rise to popularity. Full of noisy diners including a large birthday party group; we are a married couple and found the clamour to be a bit intrusive.

Traditional French food of a very good quality. The staff was eager to please, and very attentive. The atmosphere gave us a feel of retro, back to the 60', which we enjoyed.

Nice little place serving traditional amazing French meals. Everything was delicious. The only bad point I will note is that they charge the wine corkage 3.5$ per person which I think is a lot

A lovely and classic neighborhood French restaurant. Food was excellent, seating comfortable and tables well spaced. We initially went with the 2 course option - We started with scallops mornay & a goat cheese tart, followed by tasmanian salmon and chateubriand. It all tasted wonderful. So much so that we also had dessert. Service was impeccably timed and we did not feel rushed at any stage. This one is a keeper.

Best traditional French food I've eaten in a long time and it's not expensive. Quaint little BYO restaurant. Highly recommend it. The pate is the best I've ever eaten and you can buy a tub to take home!

The foodless is simply outstanding, had the veal kidney's in a rich red wine sauce, then followed up with beef wellington, and profiteroles for desert, 4th time I have been here, and will keep going till I have eaten the entire menu, it is simply that good, simple, rustic, authentic French food cooked by Michael the owner and head chef, yummy

Small restaurant - unfortunately tried to fit 1 or 2 tables too many in so crowded and noisy. Food was good - great for a cold winter's night. Brains and snails - rare in restaurants these days - were both good

Had a wonderful meal = service was excellent, timely served and delicious. Took my son and daughter for the first time - my son said, "That was the best steak I've had in years!". My daughter felt the creme brulee was the best she had ever had - including in Paris! Definitely my favourite restaurant in the Manly area! What a way to celebrate a birthday!! (They even put a candle on my profiteroles!)
