Established over 30 years ago, Chloe’s restaurant has become a fixture in Adelaide’s fine dining scene, known for their fine Australian cuisine and vintage wines. Situated inside a Victorian villa surrounded by idyllic landscaped gardens, Chloe’s Restaurant is not only renowned for its food, but the location is pretty special too. You’ll find this acclaimed eatery on College Road in Kent Town– book in advance to secure a table.
With its location inside a stunning villa dating back to 1876 in Kent Town, Chloe’s Restaurant retains its old-world charm, decorated with ornate, chic chandeliers and whitewashed walls. With both a degustation and an a la carte menu, Adelaide’s Chloe’s Restaurant offers an array of classically Australian dishes, incorporating seasonal produce and downstairs, the cellar houses a collection of fine and boutique wines collected for over 45 years from Australia and Europe. Begin with some sauteed local squid served with a poached hen egg, roasted sweet red peppers, squid ink essence, and rocket or the marinated duck livers with hazelnut linguini, pickled cherry emulsion, charred onion and fried saltbush.
Then we recommend trying the potato-wrapped market fish studded with lemon, spinach, sauteed mushrooms and smoked paprika oil. Vegetarians will find plenty of choice too, like the Jerusalem artichoke ravioli made with roasted artichoke, artichoke cream, crispy skins, mint and orange. Conclude your trip to Chloe’s Restaurant with some fig and armagnac ice cream or caramelised white chocolate mousse. Boasting a spectacular setting nestled within landscaped gardens, as well as quality cuisine and a collection of prestigious wines, for a special dining experience in Adelaide, make a reservation at Chloe’s Restaurant on Kent Town’s College Road.
The service was excellent. The food was of the usual high standard. The cost is expensive but you only get what you pay for. It was my partners birthday and Anne was given (so was I) a little dessert treat. In between courses we were given a palate cleanser. Sebastian has an excellent knowledge of wine and made choosing easy.Anne would like to have her 70th birthday celebration at Chloes in a couple of years time.So would I . We think Chloes is THE best restaurant in Adelaide.
Our degustation meal was superb. The kingfish and duck were particularly yummy. Couldn’t fault the service. We’ll definitely be back for our next special occasion!
Wonderful service, elegant fine dining and fabulous food! I would certainly go to Chloe’s again for a special occasion. Artistically arranged, good serving sizes. Great menu!
This is fine dining in a lovely setting, matched by beautifully & lovingly prepared food, an excellent wine list and perfect, friendly service. Couldn't be faulted.
Chloes is one of the relatively few remaining genuine silver service restaurants in Australia. It has adapted its menu to include modern trends and outstanding local produce, but has not become self-obsessed in the way of some more recent upmarket eateries. Nick and his team provide outstanding, effortless service and the wine cellar is simply outstanding. It's worth a visit to Adelaide just to go to Chloes.
A very elegant setting, exemplary service and beautiful food with a good choice. Fabulous wine list. It is a great place for a special occasion or to catchup with good friends, tables spaced perfectly so you can hear your own conversation and not everyone else's. Look forward to my next opportunity to dine at Chloe's
The food was amazing. It was paired with some beautiful wine that complimented every meal. The service was great, they timed the meals perfectly and they were perfect size so we didn't get full until the end. Would definitely go again and advice others to do the same.
was a awesome night, had a lovely 2 course meal and tour of the establishment after. fantastic service with a wealth of knowledge from the waiter can not wait to re visit in the future. recommend this place for The best fine dining restaurant around adelaide
The service and food was terrific but the building is falling apart. We arrived for our reservation early but were seated quickly. Still, the experience was let down by the condition of the venue...trip hazards from the broken tiles outside the entry, crumbling posts holding up the porch roof, amazingly noisy floorboards.
Thank you to Chloes again for providing excellent food matched with equally excellent wine, and topped off with fantastic service. This visit was our 30th Wedding Anniversary and you made a great day even more memorable.
