Celebrated our son’s first bday dinner here. Good food however 0 veg main options was a bummer. Live band was entertaining. Service was excellent. Crème brûlée was divine. Mains are large. 3% Amex surcharge was a surprise.

Service was excellent ,didn’t have to wait a long time for meals to come out. Asked us when we wanted our main to come out after the entree which we thought was very good,gave us the chance to digest our first course.

The menu was appealing, however I would’ve appreciated more vegetarian options. The meals were beautifully presented and delicious. Staff were friendly and polite. The main negative observations we made were a lack of ambience- I think the decor should be improved to give a more “French” feel, and the music was not very inspiring; again, some well chosen French music would help.

Haven't been to the Buckingham in years, but decided to try the French Restaurant, the food and service were really great and the prices very reasonable considering the quality. The french onion soup was to die for. We will certainly return.

Pleasant evening - great rib eye steak with sauces and truffle mushroom side, decent wine list and the panacotta with blueberries was delicious, although the vanilla ice cream was unnecessary.

Classic French cooking at its best! The food at this restaurant is excellent. Every course was prepared to perfection. The restaurant is part of the Buckingham hotel premises, but don’t let that deter you from making a booking! The excellence in French food is definitely worth the visit. Will come back again.

Extremely disappointed with Deux Soeurs refusal to not honour a $100 gift voucher that we received as a gift from my parents. I booked the reservation for the 19th as our children were not home, and my partner and I were looking forward to a romantic french meal. After booking I realised that the voucher had expired on the 31st August, barely over two weeks prior. I called Deux Soeurs to explain, and the restaurant Manager would not honour the gift voucher, although it is Consumer Law that all vouchers are valid for 3 years. If they will not honour a voucher, it doesn't give me hope for this restaurant to meet my expectations.

felt as if we were being rushed by wait staff, virtually chased to order both drinks & food. Most unsettling and non-french attitude. would we go again, NO we think not!

Staff were lovely and the quality of the food was excellent. These two made it good value for money even though relatively expensive. However we felt we were placed on the naughty corner on a table jammed against a romantic couple. It was impossible to get in an out from the very corner seats or to be served properly by the wait staff. Yet there was no-one else in the restaurant at the time. We chose a Taltarni Cab Sauv but were given the Taltarni Pinot instead. Didn't realise it until we tasted it ie after the bottle was opened. We were asked to settle our bill around 9 pm which seemed incredible on a Friday night when we would have been happy to stay.

Visited for a birthday dinner with a good friend and was warmly greeted when we arrived and was given a complimentary glass of bubbles. The menu and specials were explained well and recommendations made. I chose the OX cheek which fell apart and was delicious along with an entree of French Onion Soup and my friend chose the Beef Salad after the entree. Fantastic service and beautifully presented food. Not too expensive either and would recommend.
