Don Camillo is such a familiar family restaurant that offers fresh flavoured Italian food of generous portions. Relaxed no stress atmosphere with lovely waiting staff and a relaxed front of staff with a feeling that we mattered, not as a customer, as a family friend. A good choice of local whites and Italian and Spanish Red wines.

We enjoyed a lovely meal with friends from interstate. We talked about how we could talk & hear easily as the floor is carpeted, the atmosphere (lighting) was gorgeous. Food, drinks, service were fantastic. Definitely will be coming back to Don Camillo.

We have dined at Don Camillo for decades. What sets it apart is the consistency of great food and the ambiance of this classic Italian restaurant. It is an icon of Hobart and we’ll be back.

Great experience we were in and out within 40 mins, which was our choice. Staff were friendly and helpful, food was amazing.

Beautiful meal, veal with Marsala melted in your mouth and dessert was delightful and very generous serves, we’ll be back.

Don Camillo's is the Restaurant we go to for all important events ..As we have a large family we have quite a few..... We have been going there since they opened in 1965 and rcently celebrated our 60th wedding Anniversary there, So S o love the whole Experience...

Great restaurant, great food the only grumble was that we had a very loud table of diners next to us . We could not hear what we were saying . Not the restaurants fault just noisy diners .

Friendly atmosphere. Service was courteous and quick. Food was excellent.

I loved everything about the restaurant, Don Camillo. The ambience, the service, the food and the wine! I would return again just to have their garlic bread- it was absolutely delicious. The spaghetti marinara was perfectly cooked and my husband was delighted with the veal. It felt like a true Italian experience.

The decor is like stepping back in time. Service was pleasant but not offered drinks, other than water. Food is OK, however the pork was chewey & veal nothing to write home about. Quite dissapointing for the money, considering we were really looking forward to some authentic Italian fare.

We received prompt service which was good as we were headed to a show later. The food came very quickly .... suggesting pre prepared which felt evidenced in the eating. Not really hot - cheese not melted but tasty enough

The service, food and general atmosphere was what I have come to expect of the Don Camillo over the years. ECCELLENTE! The staff are most helpful and always very friendly. My two guests enjoyed their meal.as well.

The food was great, service maybe a little rushed. We weren't offered dessert.

Whilst the food was good it lacked differentiation. I could not taste the asparagus, mushroom etc in my risotto. Also I prefer the original version of tiramisu. Marscapone, strong coffee and Savoyard. My coffee milk had been reheated. Also, whilst everything was on time, I felt like a number not an individual.

Best meal we have had for as long as I can remember. Veal Marsala was superb.
