Waiting staff were excellent providing fast service and happy faces. Entrees were excellent, main course was not quite up to expectation. The turkey was cut in big chunks and the ham was missing (we were provided with a large takeaway container of ham instead). There was no way we could have eaten the ham as the serves were extremely large. A green vegetable would have been nice and a smaller piece of pumpkin. Desert excellent. Coffee and drinks were very reasonable. The total cost and experience with the stunning decor and pleasant staff made it a very pleasurable lunch.

I felt very rushed. The staff may think they are efficient but, I felt rushed. As soon as my plate was empty it was promptly removed... Immediately, they were there to ask for my next request. Sadly, there was a large group nearbye, which added to the noise level but as we were rushed through our meal we weren't there for long. I found some of the bacon pieces in my carbonara not so fresh....

Atmosphere was great and the food was absolutely fantastic. Will return on our next visit to Hobart to try something different on the Menu because it was hard to choose we liked everything.

Don Camillo is my favourite Italian restaurant in Hobart and I’ve been eating there for many, many years. I love the ambience, fabulous authentic Italian food and attentive service. We had yet another wonderful dinner tonight to celebrate my partner’s birthday and the sparkler on his dessert called forth a chorus of Happy Birthday from lots of the diners. The best!

Without a doubt still the best Italian restaurant in southern tas: 69 years and still going strong Don Camillo Never ever disappointed. 87 yo mum had the veal and I had the spaghetti with scallops with garlic and butter. I also added prawns which I happily paid more for. We shared a panna cotta for dessert and this too was thoroughly delicious. Staff attentive, meal served promptly and hot.

Some of the dishes particularly the Cotteletta Vinnito were very disappointing. The veal was dry, very minimal vegetables, and too many potatoes. It was also cold despite being on a warm plate. Atmosphere is always lovely.
