The pizza and pasta were both authentic. Will definitely be back.
Great food, service and ambience. Will be eaying there regularly now.
The atmosphere was very nice. I ordered Ravioli & the pasta was hard. My husbands slow cooked lamb shoulder was ok. I doubt we will return based on tonight's food
Not a bad restaurant, but not great either. Food was ok, service was good but didn't have the capacity to keep up with the number of patrons. Staffing the floor with just one more waiter/ress would probably make it a better experience.
Ecco Il Ristorante is a pleasant restaurant housed in an attractive terrace which is decorated in a rather austere fashion serving authentic Italian food. We tried the Osso Bucco which was hearty and delicious and would recommend ordering a side of vegetable with this dish. Bread was unexciting and came without butter. My husband requested some olive oil and we were given a dish with barely enough to dip one slice of bread. I would suggest that the restaurant consider offering some beautiful crusty bread and good quality olive oil as Melbourne abounds with beautiful produce. Prahran restaurant Wilson and Market has an exceptional bread with a seaweed butter on their menu as a side dish. We would pay for an Italian version with olive oil.
Ecco il Restaurante has very pleasant service, very good atmosphere and, as always, excellent food. Another very enjoyable evening at this restaurant. We love it.
