Sydney’s Firehouse Grill serves up a range of Australian and Mediterranean dishes from their location on Pitt Street, just steps away from Mortdale station. Known for their ability to throw an unforgettable party, this popular dining establishment offers catering as well as space for private parties, corporate functions, cocktail parties, weddings and christenings. The menu at Firehouse Grill incorporates modern Australian and international delights, with plenty of options like steak, Tasmanian salmon fillet, smoked barbecue bourbon beef short ribs and linguine with locally sourced king prawns and mussels. For vegetarians, we recommend the tasty quinoa salad made with butternut pumpkin, Persian feta, pepita seeds and a fig and balsamic vinaigrette. Firehouse Grill is known to get busy, so book in advance to snag a table!
As always firehouse does not disappoint. Food and service fantastic. Staff very friendly and on the ball. During our meal was asked if everything was ok and if we needed anything.
Lovely halloumi starter to share and then a really nice big and perfectly cooked steak with beautifully creamy mushroom sauce. Great atmosphere too. Great steakhouse.
Efficient and great way to reserve seats, the restaurant attendees have helped a lot and didn’t have any issue with finding the reservation, it was spot on.
This is our “go to place”. Always fresh, always busy, great staff, delicious food. What more could you want! Loved the original pork belly but the new version is also nice.
We've eaten at Firehouse Grill a number of times and have never been disappointed. When we've had Dinner there with friends, they've also become repeat customers. The Restaurant is not "swish" and not really romantic (they have another facility a couple of doors down, which does offer a bit more of a romantic atmosphere), but, as I've said we've always enjoyed the food. The Macadamia encrusted Barramundi and Paella especially, are great.
I dined with 2 friends and i had the prawn and mussel hot pot for entree, which was outstanding, and the Tuesday $15.00 steak special, which was delicious and cooked perfectly. My friends also commented to me at how good their meals were. The service from the waitresses was professional and warm. The meals came out well timed and we all ate our entrees and mains at the same time. The restaurant itself was very comfortable and not noisy even though it was nearly full. I have dined there before and always found the restaurant to be like this. I, as well as my friends will be back again, and looking forward to it.
Pictures on internet do not do the restaurant justice. Is quirky and very personal. Restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night had gone for my birthday . Waitresses were friendly but service was a little to be desired. Had to ask to order food, drinks and our plates were not taken until I asked. Need another waitress definitely . Food was very nice and good sizes except the paella which was not substantial for a main for my husband. We will be going back.
Everything was great. Except when we tried to pay the bill, we could not get anybody's attention! Other than that it couldn't have been better. Food great, service great. Just the 5 minutes waving our arms around and trying to get eye attention to pay was a tad frustrating.
This place is awesome for a small suburban area. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. The staff are amazing. Salmon is my favourite dish while the salt & pepper calamari & the crispy pork are my husbands. Good sized portions.
Weve been here as a part of a group several times and are always impressed by the food and service. Only drawback is that it gets a bit noisy when really busy with diners. soft furnishings on the wall might help
