Galangal

Great atmosphere, good food but slightly sloppy service. They brought the wrong drinks over to us then took ages to bring the right ones out. It was a very busy Saturday night though.

We had a lovely dining experience on a Saturday evening at Galangal. The food was delicious, of note was the soft shell crab as an entree and for mains the pineapple prawn and pork belly were the standnouts. The coconut icream and mango with sticky rice was a pleasant dessert. Service was good with meals out quickly, staff were friendly and welcoming. One minor detraction was that staff forgot to bring the extra water required as one dish was rather hot and it was needed urgently by one of our party! Aside from that everything was great and Galangal is highly recommnded.

From the moment we walked in, staff were friendly and attentive. Food was amazing, everything was fresh and tasty. It would be one our favourite Thai restaurants.

Great food and excellent service in very pleasant surroundings. The best Thai food we've had in WA. Midweek BYO was also a bonus and Entertainment Book discount even better.

Wonderful authentic Thai food, great service, nice atmosphere. The barramundi was awesome and the wine list is full of good quality wines. Will definitely return.

As always, wonderful service, great atmosphere and amazing food. love the special attention always shown to my daughter and love that the whole family can enjoy sharing such fresh, intricate food. The soft shell crab and twice cooked pork belly are always on our list - as is the spectacular red duck curry. Yum!!

Food excellent, the quality of the cooking is very high, 9 out of 10; service good; seating at window would not be my first choice. Fourth or fifth time there and intend to return in weeks rather than months

Food was amazing. I had a food allergy that was no problem for the chef to manage and the meal was so tasty. planning my next trip. *Separate billing should be accepted.

Food was delicious - we had the red and green curries off the special lunchtime menu - it was full of flavour and well priced for lunch. Will be back to try other offerings.

The food, as always, was excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful. On this occasion the manager came to our table to chat about the wines they have on offer, as my partner had requested something particular. The manager is very knowledgeable in this area and we were more than happy with our selections.

Delicious food, attentive service, good value for money. There are several items on the menu that we had to overlook this time around, so we have every intention of coming back.

Awesome restaurant, service, food and atmosphere. Its always busy, the staff run off their feet and food constantly being delivered to tables. But Galangal never seem to disappoint

Very nice fish cakes and green curry chicken. Have had better papaya salad elsewhere though. Great service and they spiced up meals to suit our taste buds.

Beautiful food , every dish was perfect . Flavours were fresh and clean . Duck curry was amazing and the crispy fish was light and flavoursome . Great service .

The food is delicious and the location so nice and comfortable. The unique negative aspects are the air conditioning to strong and the waiting time but for the rest we highly recommend this place and we look forward to returning there soon.

Great ambience, yummy food if on the expensive side for Thai. Lovely wait staff but very inattentive. They never came to the table unless they were asked and to catch their eye was impossible.

Food was passable, service was indifferent and overall the experience was lacking. The ambient noise was excessive, making conversations very difficult.The non-availability of Champange glasses was surprising.

Best Thai food in Perth. Roast duck red curry is truly delicious. I've been here many times and it's consistently good. The only slight negative is the noise level, which seems to be the norm these days.

Food terrific. Service nice but have to ask for things --rarely check on you during meal meaning the frequent head turn and hand raise. It is always a very good experience though and I love going there. If they walked the room and made eye contact at every table as a waiter should, it would be PERFECT.

Delightful experience. More limited menu then most Thai places but more focused on delivering a great experience. Every dish chosen was a taste bud party

Food and service was excellent. The only thing that marred the experience was how cold the restaurant was. As the are con is set so low I would suggest taking a jumper or cardigan to wear.

Service was great, staff attentive, massaman curry and red duck curry were delicious 😊 prices were a little bit more than expected but it was still good value and a decent wine list.

We went to Galangal quite a few times when it first open, but for one reason or another haven't been lately. Took some overseas visitors on Thursday night and loved it all over again! Great food and good service. Will be back before too long this time!

The restaurant is well set-up so you are not listening to other tables conversations. Service was attentive but not annoyingly so and the food was superb. We shared our entre' and mains - everyone had sufficient food with each person ordering 1 dish and 2 serves of rice for 4 people. If you like Thai food this place is definately worth a visit. If you have the ENTERTAINMENT book you can use your voucher here!

Excellent food and service. Was a very busy night and we didn't wait long at all for our meals and drinks. The massaman curry was to die for!

Great food and service, unfortunately we did not realise that it was not BYO on a Saturday night so we didn't get to enjoy the lovely wine we had brought along.

Food lovely but quite small portions. Expensive and the corkage a little too much. All the flavours were there and correctly spiced, meat was very tender

The food was absolutely amazing! Could not fault it at all! And the customer service was just as good. By far the best duck dish I have ever tried. Will be back again soon!

The food is tasty and full of flavour. Would have given this a 6 except for the Pad Thai, which in comparison lacked any flavour and tasted bland. The replacement dish of stir fried beef was excellent.

Great Thai food served with a smile. Good serves and plenty to choose from. Great meal had by all. Mains were big and authentic. Will go there again.

Best Thai food in Perth and great that it is BYO Tues-Thurs. The red duck curry, soft shell crab and Thai beef carpaccio is the best!
