Given the current climate surrounding COVID-19, many authorities are placing restrictions on social gatherings. In the best interest of everyone’s safety, we are continuously updating the availability of our partner restaurants to reflect these measures. We encourage people to still support the restaurant industry in other ways.Learn how
What once started out as a single restaurant in Melbourne back in 1998, the Groove Train family has since grown into a household name, now a chain of popular restaurants located all across the east coast of Australia. Known for their high quality and flavoursome food, browsing the menu at Groove Train is like taking a round the world trip, featuring cuisine from just about every corner of the globe, from the USA to Indonesia. Located inside the Epping Plaza shopping centre on the High Street, a trip to Groove Train is the perfect post shopping treat!
Always great food and service will definitely come back again
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a smile & got seated immediately. The waiter was very friendly & he gave us positive feedback about the menu & helped us decide what to order. The food did take around 45 minutes but came out very fresh & hot. Tasted delicious. I’m very surprised as I don’t come here often but will definitely be going back again. Well done groove train! They have amazing food, drinks and service and everything is at a reasonable price. Staff are lovely and from start to finish, I would highly recommend
To fuel up for your day spent shopping at Epping Plaza, head to Groove Train for one of their infamous breakfast options like the breakfast burrito or triple-stacked pancakes, washed down with a cup of their own coffee blend for a good old caffeine fix. No matter what kind of cuisine you’re after, you’ll probably find something to satisfy your taste buds on the all day menu over at Melbourne’s Groove Train. If you’re looking for some Asian cuisine we recommend trying the chicken hokkien noodles (marinated chicken wok-fried with Asian greens, sweet soy, fresh coriander, ginger, chilli sauce and sesame seeds) or the Indian butter chicken, a take on the traditional dish served with jasmine rice, popadoms and raita yoghurt.
Italian aficionados should go for one of the woodfired pizzas or pastas while those after a classic British dish will love the beer-battered fish and chips with tartare sauce. With its location on Epping’s High street, no matter if it’s for a post-shopping feast or an evening out in this lively area, Groove Train is a fail-safe choice. Make a reservation in advance to grab one of the best tables at this beloved Melbourne fixture!
