The food arrived at the table only lukewarm and was fairly bland overall. Considering the price, it didn’t offer good value, I’ve had much better meals at other restaurants and cafés in Manly. The “Cumberland sausage” in particular was disappointing, as it was nothing more than a plain, tasteless pork sausage.

Dining here felt less like a meal and more like an endurance test. The noise level was relentless—closer to a nightclub than a pub—making even basic conversation a strain. Service was equally disappointing. Orders arrived incorrect, and attempts to fix them were handled with a level of indifference that suggested this was routine rather than an exception. Overall, the experience was sloppy, disorganised, and frustrating.

Chose to book dining at Hotel Steyne so we could watch the NRL afterwards. Food was ok

Booked the bistro area a few months back so that 17 ex high school friends going back to about 1974 friendships could have a catch up. The view, the choice of meals, beverage selection was approved by all. Thank you for providing such a great cheery setting for us.

Very good, we had a table of 13 and couldn’t complain about anything. The meals were all great & the staff were very efficient & attentive. Would definitely go back.

The staff in the Beach Bar are amazing: attentive; professional; and friendly. Clean and well spaced tables.

The breakfast was excellent as was the location however the tables (all of them) wobbled badly which made coffee spill. Not a major issue but just a couple of hours work with a spanner would do.

Chicken burger dry. Chicken parmigiana tasteless. Pizza over cooked. Calamari had no seasoning. Asked 4 staff to follow up on a drink order that took 45 minutes to arrive. Dinner was finished and we we were about to leave when the drink arrived.. will not be returning.

Booked a table for 14 and we had bar stools, on arrival half of the stools had been removed and we had no room from the surrounding tables to Evan sit down, food was not great but eatable was not a good location with the children at all

We attended with our family group. Some ordered from the bar, we ordered using QR code. Our meals came out so long after the rest of our companions had been served and finished their meals. The waiter delivered our entree to the wrong table and tried to do the same with our mains. Only redeeming feature was the food quality was very nice. Otherwise very frustrating.

Food was just warm, not hot. Could’ve been much better.

Ordered fish and chips but the fish was really dry and had absolutely no flavour. Tasted very old! Also the music was very loud for day time, could barely talk to each other. Also the chef was very rude to one of his staff when someone ordered before us and had a few food requests. The girl was upset and that wasn’t very nice to witness.

Great food and the manager at the time of our booking was extremely helpful.

Sadly, even though there seemed to be many wait staff working, our meals arrived cold. A waiter happily exchanged my cold chips for hot chips and another at our table had her steak, mash and beans returned for reheating. My burger was tasty but cold, my husbands pork was cold and unappealing and the remaining 3 meals were luke warm. The food was expensive. We will not be returning!

staff accommodated our large group in the beach bistro very well. Staff were accommodating when I called to say we would be a bit late. It was a bit noisy and hard to talk though. Opening up a bar tab was easy to set up which we appreciated.

Great food and service was quick for a very busy day. We have eaten at several hotels in Sydney over the last couple of days and this was the best and reasonably priced.

Staff were friendly but the coffee refill was not drinkable, way too strong.

Overall, the service was good. The problem we had is the food was terrible and we let the staff know which all we got is sorry. We were only giving feedback. At this stage is very hard to say that will be back.

Very loud on a Sunday ... music was just too loud for my liking. I could only hear people right next to or opposite me. But, food and service was great.

Party of 8, we reserved a week ahead and received confirmation only to arrive and find our table hadn't been reserved. We were able to get a table thankfully. Ordered via table barcode. Our meals all came at different times with 2 of us missing our meals entirely. After waiting 40 minutes after everyone else and lots of confusion we finally received our meals when everyone else had long finished and were ready to leave. The kitchen staff had nod idea what was happening and several other diners were in similar position. Extremely disappointing. Wouldn't bother revisiting or recommending. Plenty of other nicer places .

The management here were awesome, very helpful, and we had an awesome time. Beer selection was great and the margarita pizza gets 5 stars!

The young girl, Catarina? Was a wonderful help - she patiently took us through the booking process and gave us great seats which is why we were able to have such a great evening

Was very busy but service was good and quick suprisingly. Meal was vey nice.

I thought we were booking lunch upstairs but when we arrived it was empty and we eventually found our table downstairs. We were a group of 12 and they sat us at bar tables joined together. It was ok but kind of an awkward spot. I wouldn't come back for lunch but it would be ok for a casual drink.
