As explained later by Ochiro-san, better planning would have ensured availability of salmon, aubergine and hiramasa kingfish; which saw that entire sections of the menu weren't available on the night. Website also says BYO corkage is inbuilt into their menu, and yet we were still charged for it, even though we only brought tinned beers, we didn't ask for glasses or assistance for it to be poured/topped up; and took it all away at the end of the evening! Overall, a lovely experience and I wouldn't want to detract from the great food served .

Fresh quality food, serving is quite small, so big eaters will probably hv to order more 😉

Love the different dishes surprises .. have been couple times and great service and great food. Definitely recommended!

Nice Ichirin bento and yummy Salmon Otoro Aburi Sushi. However, Hiramasa Nimono is just ok without tofu inside although it’s written “poached King fish with tofu in stew”.

Our fav local Japanese restaurant. Sashimi is always fresh. Food in general is tasty and of high quality. We normally order the Gozen Bento for takeaway because it’s portion is a great size (sometimes I even have enough leftovers for a second meal). We tried the Omakase 6 course meal on our most recent visit, and it was lovey. And we must say, the pudding dessert was amazing! Must book in advance though, Ichirin is popular!

Ordered the beef teriyaki gozen bento. It’s always consistent, very good.

Ordered the following: 1) Ichirin Bento & Bluefin Tuna Gozen Bento - The Tempura & Kaarage are nicely fried, tasty and not oily and the Bluefin Tuna are very fresh. The only let down are the Nigiri which are not fantastic. The sushi rice don't stick together nicely and the sashimi tasted cheap. 2) Panko Oyster - Fresh and not oily. 3) Beef Fillet Tataki - Fresh and delicious. Overall, I feel that this place is a bit overrated. Service is ok but the price is a little bit steep and the ambiance isn't great as the restaurant is very tiny and noise level is very high.
