Camberwell has added a seriously bushy feather to its culinary cap with the opening of Juno and May on Burke Road, a casual contemporary restaurant fusing modern Australian cuisine with international elements. Inspired by Thai and Vietnamese flavours, with some Middle Eastern and Italian influence thrown in, Juno and May boasts a veritable smorgasbord of delicious food. The amazing menu is too broad and diverse to deliver here, but for a quick cross-section take crispy tapioca prawn wrapped in betel leaf, some spaghettini with blue swimmer crab, a Moroccan curry of slow-cooked lamb with almonds and raisins, and an exquisite Balinese curry with crispy fish. Don’t forget about their vegetarian dishes, succulent sweet dishes and gluten-free options, either. But most of all, don’t forget to book, because the secret is already out.
was great, ordered smoking hash and found the hashbrown wasn't the best. Chai latte wasn't strong enough (too much milk and not enough tea). But great atmosphere.
Good option for families in Camberwell for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Helpful staff (who are good with kids), & not a bad option for a lazy (later), date night.
Thank you Juno and May for a lovely evening. The service and food was wonderful. Easy parking and access from rear. We look forward to returning to Juno and May.
