Kotaraya - Elsternwick

I can recommend Kotaraya .A great place to catch up with friends and family .Mainly Thai but also very tasty Chinese and Thai .

The food was great with plenty of choice, service was attentive and very efficient. It was very easy to book on line. All round a great night.

Really nice meals, and good service on an evening which saw the restaurant half filled. Good atmosphere and we treat this place as our local Malaysian restaurant.

Best Asian food in south of the Yarra district. Wonderful crispy duck on Sunday lunch only $14.50. It comes with small ball of soup and rice and vegetables-all that included in price and so tasty. Other suggestions are all around $11.00-Mee Goreng, curry lax a and many more. Busy place on weekends but meals come out fast and you can have a quick meal if you want or sit leisurely and just enjoy. Helpful staff.

Good food. Really enjoyed the Gado Gado. Best Banana Fritter ever. slightly overpriced but will return. Chairs a little hard. Service started slow but improved.

Extremely disappointing meal. Quality poor and not worth the cost per item. 2 children and 2 adults $82. Absolute rip off. Wouldn't return and certainly wouldn't recommend .

We enjoyed our dinner at kotoraya . We had the round table. My daughter and husband are vegan and they were very accommodating. The vegan San choy baou was lovely. Thankyou

Great food-best Asian restaurant in that area. Quick service with a smile. Value for money. Highly recommended. We were family of 5-all of us loved it. Plenty of good food for $80.00, still took 3 containers of food for next day lunch.

Lovely food and generous servings. The special mixed entree is particularly good, as is the roti with peanut sauce. Spacious and not too noisy when we were there. BYO wine is always a bonus. Can recommend for a a good Malaysian feed.

Food was excellent as always and the service is great. They did seem slow with getting the food out but later explained that the chef had called in sick.

The food was very tasty and they had more traditional choices that the usual Malaysian/Chinese restaurants. The only downfall for us was that we could BYO wine, but not beer!

Food was good. Waiter staff needs more training. Over all experience was positive. Will come back again. We had birthday there and they did organize it well.

Kotaraya has a great variety of Asian foods with lots of flavour. We have enjoyed going to Kotaraya before or after the movies at the theatre 200 metres away for over 20 years. Staff are friendly, BYO Is easy.

Our dining experience at Kotaraya was very enjoyable. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, the service was excellent - unobtrusive and friendly, and the venue was clean and relaxing.

We had a great time at Kotaraya - Elsternwick. The service is excellent, very helpful and professional. The food is delicious. They even manage a bunch of kids and you don't have to wait long to get the wonderful dishes. We'll definitely be back soon.

Beef rending was not flavoursome - tasted like the sauce added separately rather than cooked slowly over time as the meat had not absorbed spices etc like a curry should Pork Lobak was bland The coconut prawns in specials section were salty Disappointing
