Slow service. Wait people didn't readily come to the table and hard to get their attention.

Great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and amazingly delicious food!

Food and serving size was average for what I paid.

We have been going to La Spaghettata for 10 years the food is always amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful, I would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Lovely restaurant with delicous Italian food with great variety. Seating slightly uncomfortable but could be improved with cushions. Only criticism is asked waitress as to what dishes were gluten free and was unsure so went to ask Kitchen staff. Waitress returned and stated all desserts were. As our daughter is Coeliac we asked one of the Managers who said only two were as this did seem unusual. Had we not enquired this would have been detrimental to her well being. If staff are unsure as to the request the should clarify it with the customer or manager So we were quite taken aback when we were asked if we would like to tip the waitress when finalising the bill. However, would definiitely return as overall good service and nice food at reasonable prices

Excellent quality in the food with such a wide menu. The waiter was very good too. He was very careful to ensure the order was 100% right and showed a lot of pride in his job.

Had the ravioli with ricotta and spinach, turned out it had none or very little spinach. Most of it was pasta actually. Bruschetta starter was drained in olive oil, neutralizing other flavours. Spaghetti with meatballs; pasta was fresh but meatballs were very dry. Would recommend for group dinner for stag party because of atmosphere but definitely not for family/couple dinner. Service was excellent tho' and Tony (founder) is really committed to his business and is constantly looking to make things better for his customers.

Service is always great at La Spaghettata, and we really enjoy the atmosphere. Unfortunately this time my pasta had cheese in it (requested without) and my partner (after we had paid) told me that the scamp in her pasta tasted a bit cold/old. Lesson learnt: double check your dishes as soon as they come to the table!

As soon as you enter the atmosphere was beautiful, food was delicious, fabulous menu so much to choose from,prompt service,waiters were always attentive. Even the music felt like I was in Italy 🇮🇹

As always La Spaghettata delivers great food and service. All pastas are amazing and Nutella crepes are to die for. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

We had dinner at La Spaghettata for my sons 16th birthday. The staff must have overheard us talking about it as they bought out a profiterole with a sparkler in it so we could sing him happy birthday. This at the end of a beautiful dinner with such friendly staff really made his (and our) night. We have been going to La Spaghettata since before the kids were born and the service and the food has always been of the highest standard. This is one of our favourite Melbourne restaurants and has been for more than 20 years.

Last minute booking for 25 guests for my sons 21st birthday. The staff were very accommodating great food everyone enjoyed their meals. Thanks to everyone for a job well done

Food and waiters were all good. Having to go up very narrow twisty stairs to toilet quite a problem. 5% surcharge was added to bill.

Overcooked seafood in spag marinara, Lacking in sauce and garlic bread worst I've ever had. When I asked to see Manager to express my concern he was rude and could not of cared less. I was not asking for money back or replacement but thought he would want some feedback. Will not be going back

This restaurant was just ok. The pasta was a bit too oily and sightly over cooked. But the environment is very nice, cool music and clean.

My son took me to La Spaghettata for Mothers Day Dinner. He had a perfect steak and I had the seafood trio with moreton bay bugs, scamp and prawns, which was to die for. Friendly server did well on a very busy night. I'll be back!

The meals were really tasty and initially on arrival the service was good. While waiting for our meal the restaurant got busier and we weren't offered pepper or cheese with our meals or a refill of water for the table. It took ages to get their attention for the bill...the service could definitely be improved.

Very busy night, loud. Staff were great but all under pressure. Food as always was great. A bit of a delay in getting all four meals to the table at the same time a bit annoying.

The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere with great service but the entrée of anti-pasta was very disappointing, the main meals were excellent, overall a good evening!

Food was quite nice except oysters tasted as if they were not fresh. Also service was terrible, took ages for someone to acknowledge us and give us the bill.

Great service and delicious pasta - overall a pleasant dinner experience made even more special with the musical entertainment and prompt service. A little cramped for space but more than compensated by the food and service.

Good: Good portions. Bad: Overcrowded, not tasty: pasta was pretty standard and veal medallions were not even medallions, just a few thin cut of veal with a terrible sauce.

Portion sizes quite generous. Service was great. Food served in a timely manner. Ordered tagliatelle 'spaghettata', very tasty. Highly recommend it. Will definitely visit again.

Great service, good old fashioned Italian food. Very popular night on Lygon st and La Spag was one of the busiest. Great for parties and large groups as well, they have entertainment each Saturday and last night it was a couple of attractive Latin Dancers who danced through the restaurant and outside for a short while.

THE SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC if i rated it as customer service it would be up in the 500% mark and is just the service the food was coming up to the same % but as you only had a 6 that was that one i had to use but i personally rate it up to 15

Excellent food and service as always. Thought it was going to be difficult to get a seat during the Carlton Italian Festa, but we were seated right on time, served without being rushed and the food did the take long to arrive. Can't wait to go back.

Great service! Beautiful food! We had the dips and meatballs to start and then fish of the day (barramundi fillets), steak Diane and the chili crab dish looked amazing 😍 1 litre bottles of wine were great value. All in all good night!
