The Last Local

Celebrating my husband's 77th Birthday with dinner, joined by a daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Everyone enjoyed their meal and had a good time. A bit noisy for us oldies, but we managed. Thank you.

The Lamb Rogan Josh was delicious. My partner ordered the prawn and lobster pasta. It was very spicy, to the point my partner couldn’t feel their lips after a few bites. This was addressed with the staff and a new plate was prepared with less chillie.

Great food, disappointing that happy hour is only for certain drinks

We have frequented your tavern several times & always found good food & service & have enjoyed our time there...But this time we found it oh so noisy which we haven't noticed before. We found we couldn't talk/hear across the table & difficult with the person next to us. Maybe being a Friday, don't know what the solution would be. We will probably be back, but hope can be in a quieter section. I did ask to be on the wall with my booking, but we're put in the middle of the room.

Loved everything about it and frequent this venue often. But sadly my chicken in the Butter Chicken was tough and I left a lot of it as couldn’t cut it. The dish was well presented, the overall taste was good. It would be better if chicken breast was used. The other meals were great as always.

I would certainly book a table again in the future

Go here all the time. The food is amazing and doesn’t take long to get it Took my elderly mother in law and where we were seated was very loud. But it was Friday lunch time and it was packed out. But need to expect that when it’s such a awesome restaurant 🤗

Had a table in the outside courtyard, new menu is great, wonderful pictures of the food so you know what you are getting

You used to have kids steak. I have a kid with ceiliac who can't eat gluten. So had to order an adult size steak for him. Food was good, big portions and the atmosphere so warm and cosy.

I took my sister and brother in-law from New Zealand there on Saturday night and we all loved it so much we went back on Thursday . The food is fresh hot and quick

Worst food I’ve had. We went out for dinner only for my partners meal to be lost and having to wait 45 minutes to be told they missed it. The Bali bogan meal is horrible uneatable… egg burnt and rice is nothing like nasi.

The food is really delicious in this restaurant. Although it is a quite busy place but the service is excellent.

We love this place every Sunday we go food is amazing and love that there is a new menu we honestly go here every Sunday the kids eat free which works well for us. Atmosphere is always great and the staff are all friendly

We enjoyed a lovely night, service was excellent & the food came out quickly. However, when ordering the Bali Bogan dish, it was meant to have prawn crackers as a side & it wasn’t delivered. Upon asking the waitress she came back to say that prawn crackers had sold out & I was given a replacement. The chicken skewers were delicious, but I know where you purchase them from. The Nasi Goreng was plain, dry & definitely needs more flavour. Overall a good experience. Hope this feedback helps to improve the dish. Love you guys though & will return to try the Malaysian prawn laksa.

Food was good. 6 people crammed on to a table for four was a bit of a squeeze. One of the six meals came out when the rest were nearly finished. Not good

We sat out in the courtyard which was not as loud as inside as we were with elderly parents so they could hear the conversation and had a wonderful meal and time.

Absolutely fantastic (as always)! Sampled from the new menu today and had arguably the best Nasi Goreng (Bali Bogan) I’ve sampled outside of Indonesia! Hubby had the special ‘Sunday Roast Beef’…..enormous serving (thankfully ‘take home’ containers are readily available so Archie the dog will be living his best life tonight) and the beef roast was absolute perfection (no mean feat when beef is so easy to overcook, especially in bulk)! Add to that my $10 birthday voucher, a seriously good rewards program, and a good game of footy in the awesome beer garden. and the ‘Last Local’ is an absolute MUST even if you’re not actually a Canning Vale local We are SO grateful that this is literally our ‘local’!

Great Sunday roast with the family and a great atmosphere

Food was disappointing. Chicken Parmi was different to usual and chips were soggy. Malaysian Laksa was tasteless and lacked seasoning. Marinara was very watery and chilli mussels were served 5 mins after the 3 other meals. Always had good meals in the past. This was not up to standard.

Food was nice and service very good. Staff were also very friendly.

A regular lunch spot for us and the food is excellent never leave hungry and the staff are very friendly

the food was lovely except for the fish and chips the battered fish was very doughy and the fish had a strong taste and was tough wouldnt recommend it at all but everything else was great

My biggest critique was the prices charged, a glass of house white was $9 was pushing it and a roast dinner for $35 was a bit expensive considering it was mostly vegetables.

Ordered a MR steak but it is pretty raw. Otherwise everything else is good

Nice environment and food. I love the Sunday roasts and hope there’s more meat than 3 slices and lesser vege. Maybe i need to let them know i guess next round.

The Last local is our favourite local establishment for lunch or dinner. The Braai Steak Sandwich is a winner every time but either way, there’s so much to choose from on the menu. Highly recommend the atmosphere and food at The Last Local. We’ll be back for sure.
