Good food service bad probably pass next time thanks anyway

Food was great when it arrived, quite a delay with a couple of dishes and as we had a tight schedule (tickets for a live performance) it did cause a degree of angst. Apologies were forthcoming (new staff in the kitchen) but it did put a cloud over the rest of evening. Third time dining here, the other times went without a hitch so will definitely be coming back but will allow more time just in case!

Loved our dinner at Leega. The food was delicious and service great. Would have loved a few more vegie options to bbq and more room at the table as it gets a bit too overloaded.

I visited Leega Korean BBQ tonight with my two kids and left feeling pretty disappointed, mainly due to the service. We were left standing at the entrance for several minutes while staff walked past and completely ignored us. When we were finally seated, there was no explanation about the ordering system — whether menus were coming or if everything was via QR code. As it had been a long time since my last visit, I would’ve appreciated a quick explanation or some recommendations. When I eventually managed to get a waitress’s attention, I asked for clarification on how things worked and what she’d recommend. Despite speaking clearly in English, she seemed confused and unable to help. She eventually told me she was new and didn’t really know, so I asked if she could send someone over who did. She mumbled a response, walked away to serve someone else, and no one ever came back. The food itself was good. The bibimbap was tasty and the BBQ meats were delicious. However, the BBQ hot plate was nowhere near hot enough. It took an extremely long time to cook the meat — the beef ribs were still raw after around 10 minutes. The smoke extraction units above the tables also appeared to be switched off, yet strangely the restaurant wasn’t very smoky at all. Something clearly wasn’t right. I would have asked for the hot plate to be fixed or replaced, but getting a staff member’s attention felt nearly impossible. Considering the price, this meal did not feel like good value. While the food had its highlights, the poor service and malfunctioning BBQ setup made the overall experience frustrating and disappointing.

The dishes were fresh, delicious, and full of traditional Korean taste. Great flavors, great value. Highly recommend!

Leega never fails to impress, amazing food and atmosphere with such helpful staff. If you haven't tried the Korean BBQ experience, you are missing out, and they are the best!

Food was great, was a busy night so service was a little slow at the start. Only recommendation is if you have a bottle of Rose that has been open for a while and someone orders a glass, please open another bottle as the product was flat and tasteless.

Such an awesome Korean bbq experience in Geelong. It wasn’t our first visit and it definitely won’t be our last. For six of us we ordered the Pork Party, and Beef Banquet and it was the right amount of food.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is simply amazing. The smell of the Wagyu beef gets the stomach rumbling. The food was absolutely delicious and staff were very friendly and hospitable.

If I could have gone to Melbourne for KBBQ I would have especially for the price charged at Leega. Otherwise, very ordinary. Steamed rice was dry and hard, quite unpleasant. Not something I would expect an Asian restaurant to fail at! When I informed waiter he just made excuses and apologised weakly so we had no choice but to eat up our rice as we were hungry! When paying, I complained to the cashier again and she ended up not charging us for all the rice, with apologies - thank you.

On arrival the best experience started, staff were friendly and very helpful, it was our 17th Wedding Annversary and it was the perfect night. We will be back :)

Good practicing on social distancing, we arrived before our booking and were asked to come back, also tables set out to establish this.
