So, whether it’s for an early morning coffee and bacon and egg panini or a long evening of wine, pizza and pasta, this Perth hotspot ticks all the right boxes. Reservations are essential.
Great food , friendly staff and great atmosphere. We’ll be back.
Excellent experience. The selection of dishes probably is not huge, sufficient to have a very tasty experience. My daughter says: better a shorter but well executed menu rather than long and average. Agreed!!! Pizza dough was perfectly cooked, my personal taste would have enjoyed it a bit more savoury but again, great!
Food quality was bad. We complained about the porschiutto rock melon which was overripe and tasted like fermented melon. Wait staff claimed they gave us the bitter end of the melon, didn’t even offer to replace the dish. Kid’s meal of butter and pasta was literally that. Nothing nutritious and nothing that we can’t cook ourselves at home. Overall food taste was not pleasant too.
If you’re inclined to visit Lo Zucchero Perth in the morning, you’ll be needing your appetite. Pair your coffee of choice with any of the delicious dishes gracing the menu at this City Beach cafe and restaurant and your day will be off to an exceptional start. We’re big fans of the Roman scrambled eggs with feta, olives, spinach, Roma tomatoes and bacon; the smoked salmon served on a potato rosti with poached eggs and horseradish cream or the Mediterranean big breakfast with Italian sausage, bacon, eggs, Lo Zucchero beans and hash browns. Delicious!
For dinner, Lo Zucchero offers a truly inspired menu packed with all your favourites. We love starting with the classic Italian arancini balls filled with bocconcini and smothered in homemade tomato sauce, and the deep-fried calamari and local mussels cooked in a tomato and chilli sauce, served with fresh bread. For the main event, pasta lovers should sample the Italian-style carbonara made with pancetta, bacon, onion, pepper and egg (sans cream) or the classic Bolognese. We also love the Tuscan-style pork belly; slow-cooked duck risotto or any of the delicious woodfired pizzas. Popular among Perth locals for good reason, we highly recommend a booking at Lo Zucchero on The Boulevard in City Beach as soon as possible!
