This is above a pub and a fabulous place to dine. Unpretentious, relaxed, great service, a good selection of wines, a friendly atmosphere and consistently excellent food.

We have never had a bad Meal at The Malvern.

Always a great meal and service. The oysters followed by the eye fillet. Exceptional.

Overall very good but a bit noisy. Acoustic ceiling tiles and carpet would make a big difference.

Having enjoyed a great meal at the Malvern Hotel recently, we came back with friends. Our meals were a big disappointment. very little seafood on the linguine, a smaller portion of curry than I had had the previous time etc. The table next to ours was very rowdy and it was difficult for us to talk.

We visit here quite often. The staff and ambience are great as is the food. They offer a great menu and understand the needs of a coeliac, it’s a shame they don’t mark menu item gf or gfo though.

Good food and prompt service - we were in a hurry and the staff made sure we left on time. Very noisy atmosphere however!

Great staff. Seating room was more than adequate. Menus really comprehensive. Wine list above average by quite a way. Service really good. Only minus : When paying the bill on card, first up is ‘tip’ not ‘amount’. Don’t copy the American way. Most of us have been to US and everyone has his/her hand out at every turn. Most annoying.

Welcomed on arrival, the table service was excellent and the food was amazing. The Malvern scored top marks in our book. Will definitely return.

We've come here a few times for work lunches, and Ken and the team are always very friendly and accommodating. Ken always allows me to pre-order for the table and has the food ready for us by a specified time, so there is no waiting around. Will definitely be coming back.

Great service, lovely food. A bit noisy got our group who wanted to chat, but otherwise great venue.

Very disappointing. The fish of the day (snapper) was overcooked and tasteless. It came with flavourless dry pearl couscous, a smudge of sweet potato mash which was similarly tasteless and a few stalks of reasonably cooked broccolini. The meals here used to be very tasty and interesting. Seems to have gone downhill.

No problems on the day You do have a few nice spot to dine at the hotel great for a function

Staff all lovely. Food was nice, my husband found his chicken Parma a bit dry. My sous vide chicken was lovely but I would have loved some green vegies with it to add a bit of colour. I know I could order sides but you just want a few.

We had a great table in the window. Our waitresses were very good. Food was lovely as usual. We were not hurried after finishing our meals. A small negative, 2 crème brûlée’s came in their dish without a serving plate. All other deserts came with a serving plate.
