Quick reservation, good food, pleasant service, very loud, table too small for three persons

Great food and excellent service , no wonder it was so busy!

Only criticism is the fire place smell was very strong as it had not been cleaned out and was not on.

Always enjoy the exceptional service and appreciate the friendly staff.

The food was delicious, , the service excellent with little wait time but was really extremely noisy.

The staff were great. The food is a bit pricey. Quite a mature patronage.

While The Malvern Hotel looks a little deshabille from the outside, once you enter, it’s a traditional pub in the good sense of the word: old-time charm still evident in the “bones” of the original building, open fireplace and polished wooden floors. The staff are very present, in showing you to your table and informing you about specials and providing drinks. The wine (& beer) list is varied and interesting. The menu is similarly entertaining. This is not “pot ‘n’ parma”, but an eclectic and nuanced range of dishes, prepared with flair and pride. That’s not to say the staples (fish ‘n’ chips, steak) aren’t there; they are, and of excellent quality too. We strongly recommend The Malvern as a great choice for a very nice dining experience with good friends.

First time dining at the Malvern Hotel, staff were attentive and personable. Enjoyed duck, risotto, beef cheek and fish and chips. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal, we will definitely go back. Prices are competitive to higher end pub meal, its more than a pub meal, definitely more restaurant quality. Staff were great, thank you

Food was great and service by maître d’ was excellent however he did have to prompt some of his staff so maybe they were new. Atmosphere great with noise levels perhaps a little high at times. But will still return as it is a personal fave.

We had a wonderful 'after party' at The Malvern Hotel, celebrating my daughter's birthday. The service and atmosphere were amazing, the staff wonderful, and the interiors were sophisticated. The food, although nice, was not to the standard of the costs, particularly the steaks. But we are in Malvern, so higher prices are expected after all!

Had 18 people for a dinner. Great food atmosphere and service. Will be back.

First visit here after receiving appalling service recently at a nearby competitor. I was impressed from the minute I arrived. The staff were very attentive and had a great customer attitude. We will be making this place our new ‘catch up’ location.

Apart from the young female who waited on our table, the older male waiters were exceptionally aloof, unwelcoming and unfriendly. upon arrival it was if we had barged our way in. The head waiter(I think) actually told us to find our table around the corner. No one escorted us. We were left to work out which of the reserved tables was ours ( I had booked a day ahead). Later on when One other male waiter came with our meals, he barely gave eye contact and said not a boo. The pretension of these waiters was quite discomforting. Sad, as the place is so nice in its decor and food. It was not as if they were busy . It was a quiet night by the looks. It was lucky we had the young female waiter look after us for most of the night .

It is very noisy,I was once a regular drinker there,I explained the noise would drop when the drinkers went home,but not so,maybe some sound proofing would help

We really enjoyed our Mother’s Day lunch. The food was delicious and it was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We will be back.
