So much choice and wonderful treats. A bit of wait at times for the popular things. Somewhere to go for a special treat as a bit $$ for a family.
There was a pair of babies crying most of the night close to our table, but aside from that it was a good night
Too expensive. Too busy. Arrive on time and queue to be seated.
Celebrated my 50th birthday - really enjoyable time had by all
Great food, staff and atmosphere. Bar staff members were excellent.
Foods okay for the price. But nothing to memorable or mind blowing
Lovely environment, food was great too. Service was great too
Awesome customer service and beautiful food, definitely going back there
Pretty Overpriced and queues for food not worth the wait.
Great food and good service. Highly recommended . Definately worth of money
Lovely place to celebrate a special occasion , thankyou to Tara for her special attention. Lovely staff & fantastic selection of food.
We have a great experience. Food and view was amazing
Valentine’s Day special dinner. Great food, good service. Not cheap but worthwhile for the event.
It is a great place with a great price and food
Great food, got a fantastic table for two adjacent the window overlooking the Yarra. Not too busy, so didn't seem like everyone was fighting for a meal. Will definitely return the next time I am in Melbourne.
Great venue, delicious food, lovely choice, wonderful staff. Cocktails were good too
Sushi is just amazing and The service was very good.
We have visited Melba on many occasions over the past 30 years naturally prices have increased but the quality and service hasn’t Our service staff member was polite and attentive liked the drinks package took the hassle out of ordering
Was left a little disappointed. We went to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary (having had our wedding reception there). We booked for the 6pm sitting, and arrived about 15 minutes early. As we sat down, the waitress informed me they needed the table back by 7:30pm. We had to endure a 3 course meal in under 90 minutes! Suffice to say for the price we paid for 5 of us to dine, we were left very underwhelmed indeed. We did enjoy the food, however, but would have appreciated more time to savor it.
Great buffet, wonderful options, delicious food, good coffee, staff were wonderful, loved the view from our table
First class experience. Great atmosphere and great food and great service
Best buffet I’ve been to. Fresh seafood and food cooked to order in front of you. Amazing
Very good!!! Food is amazing!!! Beautiful and nice place!!! Definitely, a restaurant to go!!!
Really nice food and very enjoyable time at this restaurant
Service & range of food offerings were very good. The wine was expensive
Amazing service from all staff, everyone was lovely and really friendly.
Friendly & welcoming staff, great selections to choose from & a lovely surprise birthday cake.
My group wanted somewhere special to celebrate my retirement and we chose the Melba Restaurant at the Langham Hotel. It lived up to expectations, the staff are so friendly, the food is lovely and we were able to make a little bit of noise without annoying everyone else as tables are not right on top of each other. A great day out.
queue too long. cook meals always too salty. desserts not much variety
Food excellent but our waiter was inattentive. Had to ask another staff member for drinks, tea and coffee.
Had to ask for water several times and had to ask for water bowl & rubbish bowl for prawns. Prawns were the worst I’ve ever had, soggy, old and extremely difficult to peel due to this
Shabby furnishings and food range and quality terrible. Should have got precooked meals from Coles would have been nicer
A great venue for friends to enjoy a fabulous buffet. Staff wonderful, so much that we have booked to return In April 2020.
It would've been nice to have fizzy drinks included in the cost of meal. Doesn't need to be fancy ones, even something self service like a lot of other buffets do. $99 is a lot and to have to pay for drinks on top didn't feel right. You walk in feeling like a king being able to eat whatever you want, but then suddenly you're counting the cost for drinks which makes you feel like a stinge. I found the lamb and beef very tough which was disappointing as I'd been looking forward to something nice, tender and juicy. But overall it was great. My husband loved the seafood.
i have been going to Melba restaurant buffet frequently over the years. The main course food quality is excellent. I found out that the cakes and desserts quality is gone downhill. They look good but the taste is not great they have to improve the dessert quality as i wont be going there for it.
Great food & great service, very happy with our dining experience
Excellent lunch with good service. Would have liked water topped up without asking but otherwise a terrific day out and will return soon.
Were not asked for a drinks order and were ignored by the waitress for a very long time! Then after ordering a $50 bottle of sparkling wine, she poured it into an ordinary wine glass, not a flute! Queues for any food were enormous all night! Gnocci was not made correctly at all and was almost inedible! For a 5 star hotel, it was atrocious! Will never go back!
Excellent choice and variety of offerings. Helpful staff and great ambiance.
All buffet breakfast food was cold, hotel tired need refurb
Excellent food , excellent service we will come back again, thanks.
Disappointed that the sea urchin was not fresh. Service always very good though.
Staff were great thank you we will Capone a gib
Very good buffet, lovely food and views to river Yarra. However did not receive the birthday cupcake, after notifying that it was a 50th birthday. Wines a bit pricey.
Advertised good looked nothing like what was available. Although we had a lovely dinner.
We took one of our granddaughters to the Melba as a treat on her 18th. birthday - we got the treat to see the happiness on her face and share the excitement that she experienced - a perfect outing to suit the occasion.
Waiting on my mixed drink for 15mins while my partner received her wine within 5.
We had been soooo looking forward to having the buffet dinner and to our disappointment l must say never again. We frequently eat dinner at crown and sorry to say l wish we had again after eating at your resturant. Sorry but no good.
Great food, relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely go there again. What a hidden gem.
In terms of food, it is the usual Melba buffet fare. Standard of service is great with frequent plate changes. The Chinese New Year fare was greatly promoted with lobster noodles as the headlining dish. However it was a small portion in the Bain Marie, with only claws and heads of small crayfish sized lobsters. No tails or flesh. Several diners expressed their disappointment pretty openly. Noodles were dry. Average expectations, but even that were barely met.
